The command block (stylized as Command Block in the subtitles) is a powerful block and a key component to the plot of the first four episodes.

History

[edit | edit source]

Soren obtained the command block on a top of a mountain, discovering it amongst icy peaks.[1]

Soren utilized the command block to create the super TNT and the enhanced rail tracks featured in The Last Place You Look. Together with the Order of the Stone, he used the command block periodically and secured their legacy by using it to kill the ender dragon.

As their reliance on the command block grew, Ivor became disillusioned with the group. In exchange for keeping their use of the block a secret, Ivor claimed ownership of all their treasures, including the command block. He used it to construct a laboratory in the Far Lands, where he stored their treasures. Over time, Ivor devised a plan to expose the Order as frauds and created two failsafes, which were an enchanted book and a potion. His plan involved programming a controllable wither that would respond to the Order's amulet. However, the plan failed when the wither spiraled out of control and his potion was stolen.

If Jesse decided to accompany Olivia to Redstonia, Ellegaard would be shown attempting to create a command block. She nearly succeeded, but the wither storm arrived before it could be completed.

After acquiring the super TNT, Jesse confronted the wither and crafted a formidi-bomb to destroy it. Although the bomb succeeded, the command block remained intact. The block reactivated, reviving the wither.

Ultimately, Jesse obtained a powerful weapon imbued with the command block's power. They destroyed the block with this weapon, but the victory came at the cost of losing Reuben.

Properties

[edit | edit source]

The command block appears to be capable of being used on nearly anything. It has been shown to create a powerful TNT, craft a potion to deactivate the block itself, and produce an enchanting book containing its power. Additionally, it can be used to erase a creature's existence.
