The wither storm disaster was an event where the wither storm was unleashed onto the Overworld, acting as the main conflict from The Order of the Stone to A Block and a Hard Place.
Many years prior, the Order of the Stone sought to defeat an evil known as the ender dragon. The group's leader, Soren, resorted to using the command block to achieve an easy victory, creating a fradulent story to secure fame and fortune. The rest of the team went along with the ruse, save for Ivor, who worked to expose the scheme. In the process, he was erased from the story.
The legend of the Order of the Stone would be cemented in history, inspiring many other heroes to continue their legacy. Among these were Jesse and their friends, who eagerly attended EnderCon, a convention Gabriel the Warrior was hosting a panel at. As the event progressed, Gabriel would be confronted by Ivor, who would then summon the wither storm upon noticing Gabriel's incompliance to expose the truth about the Order and upon stating that "nothing built can last forever".
