The name of this page is "Amplified", but in the environment box at the bottom it is called "AMPLIFIED". Which one is right? Lennbot (talk) 08:59, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

"Amplified, sometimes stylised as AMPLIFIED," Need I say more? 46.9.91.126 16:16, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

New Images?

Latest comment: 28 September 20132 comments2 people in discussion

I was curious to see if it would be okay to add new images to this page? (I'm new to the wiki, so I don't really know anything at all..)
Anyway, I have a couple of a really large Mesa Plateau biome that really show off the aspects of this world type... PokeminMaster (talk) 21:58, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

I don't see why not. After all, that's what the wiki is for. If you're unsure how to, see Help:Uploading a picture Lennbot (talk) 10:43, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

I turned this on and I literally spawned on a sky island below a sky island. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.5.133.13 (talk) 13:30, 26 October 2013(UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Depths

The rules for ores and mob spawning (depth) appear to have changed somewhat. Not to mention that amplified worlds are hard in survival and seem to have lots of hostile mobs. 50.122.179.126 02:50, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Bedrock / Stronghold / Amplified

[edit source]
Latest comment: 12 December 20131 comment1 person in discussion

Strongholds in amplified are larger than normal (as expected). The world generator when creating the stronghold can extend it through the upper layers of the bedrock as low as y:2. This leaves a layer of smooth stone and bedrock with a 100% bedrock layer below.

Granted my world may be contaminated seed:2 in 1.6.4 edited to be amplified after it was introduced.

I'm curious if a stronghold can penetrate the bedrock into the void.

Using the dark oak to penetrate bedrock or in the end, there is a limit to building below y:0, I suspect either the generation would stop or the game would crash. – Unsigned comment added by 66.42.134.195 (talk) at 23:41, 12 December 2013 (UTC). Please sign comments with ~~~~

Horses

Do the Amplified worlds still properly generate plains that spawn horses or are those nonexisting on those kind of worlds? – Unsigned comment added by @DeletedUser40332223 (talkcontribs) at 06:47, 13 January 2014 (UTC). Please sign comments with ~~~~

System requirements

I'm a man of few words.

I would just like to know how much RAM I should have to generate one of these worlds, before I accidentally set my computer on fire. --80.202.145.107 14:55, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Dose it work on PE? I only have an iPad, no computer. 😥 --173.57.100.131 22:11, 15 December 2014 (UTC)anonymous

Maybe not--66.50.41.11 20:53, 29 November 2016 (UTC)anonymous too, just a joke

Verification for "requires beefy computer" to "requires a beefy computer" on version.

Latest comment: 14 July 20211 comment1 person in discussion

Hi. On MultiMC, I decide that I spotted an unknown version for the change, so I checked some versions. My versions 1.16.4, and 1.17.1 contain requires a beefy computer, but 1.15.2 and anything lower will show "requires beefy computer".

When I checked 1.16, it shows it. I dived more into it and it's possible 20w06 is likely the version that changed it. -TheCloud38- (talk) 13:12, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Is the biomes and the structures the same as a normal world?

Is the biomes and the structures the same as a normal world? I tried a few seeds and can’t find the structures in normal world but not amplified. Is it the norm? BusyMan (talk) 03:15, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

thanks for telling me its also on bedrock

i have a ps4 and it says its only in java xbox one and ps4, i am so excited to try this. where can i find the option? 15.204.97.213 12:50, 1 August 2025 (UTC)

It's NOT on Bedrock Edition. There's a discontinued edition of Minecraft called Legacy Console Edition, divided into several editions on consoles like Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Wii U and PlayStation Vita. Most of these editions got discontinued and merged into Bedrock Edition in the Better Together Update in 2017. Today, consider that consoles support Bedrock because those editions got discontinued. 👁 Image

Stylised Name

[edit source]
Latest comment: 8 October 202515 comments8 people in discussion

I think the name should not use the stylised name of AMPLIFIED instead use Amplified.

This is for the same reason we say blaze rod in prose and not Blaze Rod.

Additionally, even the Pan Cape is referred regularly instead of its stylised name of The Pan Cape! within the article. 👁 Image
Ayaan 15:30, 1 August 2025 (UTC)

Furthermore, the world type is not even stylised the same in every edition anyway as you can see here:

Support the lowercase letters. Caps just looks awkward 👁 Image

Agree – page title should be exact IGN, but reference in prose can apply normal sentence styles  Nixinova T  C   07:05, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
Any reasons why you think the page title should be in all-uppercase? — BabylonAS 06:21, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
I would 👁 Image
softly oppose to keep it capitalised since it wouldn't match how it is spelled in the article. 👁 Image

Neutral, it looks awkward but IIRC the style guide prefers JE names. == Rout | Talk 06:47, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
I am willing to dispute the very idea of preferring Java Edition names over Bedrock ones, though it’s a discussion better held elsewhere. — BabylonAS 06:49, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
Yeah, this. Unless the style guide is changed, JE naming is the preferred case.  Nixinova T  C   11:06, 16 August 2025 (UTC)

Support reverting the title to normal letter case; it’s not an acronym or something. As demonstrated above, the ALL CAPS spelling is not used on some editions — though the Legacy Console Edition screenshot is a somewhat dubious argument, given that these editions are discontinued; I don’t know if Bedrock keeps with usual case (sentence or title). — BabylonAS 06:48, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
The feature isn't in Bedrock, so Java and LCE are our only sources 👁 Image

I'd like to mention a relevant style guide proposal here about stylized names in prose, Minecraft Wiki talk:Style guide#Normalizing all-caps text 👁 Image
