I'm preemptively creating a discussion, since I imagine any significant change to this page could be controversial. Someone created a section called "Creation" that mentioned the story of how a creeper was created from a pig model. The only mention in the article of this (I think well known) story is a vague reference in the history section. I was just going to add this to the trivia section, but I reread MCW:TRIVIA, and it says and that the only history that should be in trivia is history not related to development. The trivia guidelines also mention the possibility of a "Lore" section, so I imagine a Development section, especially for the iconic franchise symbol might be appropriate. I only added a quote from Jens Bergensten relating the story, but there is probably more that can go here. Or if the general consensus is not to have a Development section, someone should at least add a small mention in the trivia section. Rampage455 (talk) 06:06, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- I reckon that we should include that information in the History section rather than making a new section (i.e. the current Development section should become a subsection of the History section; akin to User:Violine1101/Warden history). If we do that, then I believe that there would be no point in putting this information in the Trivia section (no matter what the trivia guidelines state), since it'd be repeating information already clearly stated above. - Zamburger (talk) 08:58, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- I don't have a problem with Development being a subsection of History. I kind of like Violine1101's warden history page, we could do something similar. This is off-topic, but this has also made me wonder why we don't normally include much development history in articles, besides concept artwork, which we often seem to have. Should Snowy Plains be added to the list of biomes creepers dont spawn in (for bedrock only)? 140.141.159.135 19:28, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
On the image of a creeper being sent to space, near the trivia part of the creeper page, theres is a date error, it says "18 June 18 2012" instead of 18 June 2012. 2600:1700:3041:B000:4977:AF34:979:6630 23:14, 16 February 2025 (UTC)

- Invalid. Hitbox size is not changed. Hxy123abc (talk) 14:54, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Hxy123abc I think that they meant the size in the infobox. I think that's because the charged creeper image is bigger than the regular creeper image because of the aura and it's zoomed out more to fit the same size. 👁 Image

- Oh, I misunderstood that for in-game size. So maybe the images should be rescaled? Hxy123abc (talk) 15:01, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

Please add the Lego Minecraft Creeper that came out in June of this year to the gallery. I do not see it anywhere on the article. 76.90.215.44 17:41, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

How did the creeper become so famous?
[edit source]Latest comment: 20 March7 comments2 people in discussion
I think it would be an interesting thing to include in the Trivia section. TyrannoCraft (talk) 23:08, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- No, see MCW:TRIVIA. ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 23:46, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- well, not trivia than. What else could how the creeper got famous be on, or is it already there? TyrannoCraft (talk) 12:27, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- That's not really within the scope of what these wiki pages should document, as we document mainly about the game, but there are exceptions I guess, so don't take my word for it. ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 12:31, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- why not add how it became famous? I think a lot of people would appreciate it. TyrannoCraft (talk) 12:55, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- Also, there isn't really encyclopedic objective info on how exactly it became famous anyways. Human influence is just kinda weird sometimes I guess, like how would you even describe that. ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 13:17, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- I guess so. TyrannoCraft (talk) 14:02, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
Does igniting a Creeper with Flint and Steel unlock the Monster Hunter achievment/advancement?

Can someone please test ~2026-RavagerHorseWither13694 (talk) 00:39, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
- Will test later, though most likely yes as IIRC player gets kill credit from flint and steel. ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 02:44, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
- No, if I ignite a creeper, I don't get the advancement nor creeper killed stat. 👁 Image

Does killing a creeper with a parched not give a disc on bedrock
[edit source]Latest comment: 29 May1 comment1 person in discussion
In the drops section for bedrock, the parched is not listed in the mobs that drop a disc when killing a creeper Rubylikessonic2 (talk) 13:46, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
