Suspicious Stew

[edit source]
Latest comment: 14 August 20201 comment1 person in discussion

In the foods table, there is a separate entry for suspicious stew traded from a villager, with an extended saturation effect. But according to https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-147572 this has been fixed as of 1.14.

Sugar

On the sugar wiki page, it is listed as a food, although it is not consumable. Is this because this page labels it as a food ingredient? NotRobotForSure (talk) 23:05, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

Saturation suspicious stew

Suspicious stews crafted with dandelions or blue orchids give the saturaition effect, should this place these versions differently on the nourishment value tables? Robonate135 (T C) 14:29, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Well, they're already special-cased in the big list, and the status effect doesn't really fit into the super/good/normal/low/poor hierarchy. I'd leave them as is. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 23:12, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Suspicious Stew saturation ratio entry

[edit source]
Latest comment: 8 June 20222 comments2 people in discussion

Does this entry really need that many decimals in the table? It currently shows as "1.6307692307692," this could be rounded to a few decimals only — Pomodorosan (talk) 20:49, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

I agree. However, there is no template text with that number. It appears to be a dynamically-generated calculated result of 21.2/13. All of the other ratios happen to come out nice and clean with one decimal place, but this ratio doesn't. Amatulic (talk) 05:23, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

Add April fools Foods? (24w14potato)

[edit source]

So there is the poisonous potato update that was released on 4/1/2024. It was a relatively large update that added a few types of foods that are not documented on this page.

So community should I add it to the food page?

These items include

Venomous potato

Potato of knowledge

Hash browns

Poisonous potato chips
Poisonous potato sticks
Poisonous potato slices
Poisonous potato fries
Golden poisonous potato
Enchanted golden poisonous potato
Poisonous potato chestplate

Glow Berries missing from "Foods" table

[edit source]
Latest comment: 3 December 20247 comments4 people in discussion

It seems glow berries are missing from the main "Foods" table that lists the values/sources/etc of each food. Should probably be added 52.124.39.58 00:24, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

It's there. You just didn't see it. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:18, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
It's there indeed but it also seems to be out of alphabetical order sandwiched between two Golden items. I'm not sure where to make the appropriate change. -BrianGLHF (talk) 19:20, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Glow Berries aren’t food. They are edible and have all the mechanics of food, but they are not food because they look disgusting.Drour1234 (talk) 07:26, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
Anything is food if you can gain some nutritional or energy benefit from eating it without dying. How a food looks is irrelevant. As for looking disgusting, that's subjective. You could say that about other food items like poisonous potatoes, chorus fruit, rotten flesh, spider eyes, and (if you're vegetarian) all the meats.
Then there are things that could be food but aren't in the game: squid, sea pickles, dolphins, parrots, llamas, horses, camels, cooked eggs, ravagers. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:17, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
Villagers... -BrianGLHF (talk) 19:20, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
I know glow berries are a food item. I was just making a joke.Drour1234 (talk) 20:50, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

Ratio ?

What does ratio do and mean ? Lecodeur1010 (talk) 22:10, 4 January 2025 (UTC)

"ratio" isn't a Minecraft related term. Try looking it up, is pretty simple. -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  14:59, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
I mean what does it do Lecodeur1010 (talk) 18:58, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
It's the amount of saturation a food item restores per food point. For example, an apple restores 4 food points and 2.4 saturation, meaning that you get 0.6 saturation per food point (2.4 fp / 4 sat = 0.6). The higher the better (see Food#Nourishment value).--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 23:18, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

Unresolved

Saturation stew should have two entries, one for bedrock (because ironically the saturation effect gives no saturation), one for java.

Food names

[edit source]
Latest comment: 12 June3 comments3 people in discussion

Can we add the food names to the food sources instead of just having images? BillyWhizz101 (talk) 11:20, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

Not sure about mobile, but on desktop you can just hover over the slots. Having the name might take too much space. ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 12:32, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for bringing this up. I've replaced all {{Slot}} usages with {{ItemLink}}. There was no reason to use slots, which are bad for mobile and accessibility in general. --Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 01:31, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
