General formatting, early additions

[edit source]
Latest comment: 1 April 20252 comments1 person in discussion

Apologies if my convention or etiquette is wrong, just want to help get this page jump started as it is brand new and lacking content!

There is currently an 'Additions' section/header, I believe 'Upgrades' with subheaders for each tree/page would be appropriate as well.

That could be a great place to start, as once we have the upgrades section and tree subheaders, we could begin filling in the details of each upgrade.

Another place that seems logical to start would be the hub area. If there is not already detail about the shimmering doors and about memory lane, those would be important inclusions.

I will pull the full raining code imagery for the skybox and loading screen and translate the SGA, as I'm sure there is something meaningful. Dke8 (talk) 18:17, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

forgot to mention -- a 'Mechanics' section to describe generally the roguelike format and also specifically explaining the upgrade/unlock system and minecraft dimension generation. Dke8 (talk) 18:18, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

Strategies section?

Listing good strategies for getting XP fast would be a neat addition to this page. 150.243.240.129 20:54, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

It generally doesn't fit the wiki style from what I've seen. Idk, if anyone has a different opinion let me know Angdalia (talk) 21:10, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
No - tutorials exist for this type of content. Arina (she/her) 20:55, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
Could somebody please create a tutorials page for craftmine? Logray (talk) 14:33, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
get a fishing rod and fish to get the fish out of water option, kill a magma/slime to get bouncy world, and then start loading worlds until there's water nearby. Then search underwater caves for amethyst geodes. This should get you LOTS of levels FAST. 2601:C2:E00:4709:84EE:7F4A:DA19:B284 01:41, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

Item "Value"

[edit source]
Latest comment: 5 April 20254 comments4 people in discussion

With items that have a value that is converted to experience when exiting a mine, should we have a table on this article, or should the items have their own section about value on their own pages? Every item that can be obtained in this update has a value, including normal vanilla items...

The value seems to be based on the rarity but some of them are different, for example the Heavy Core is worth like 1.5 or something but the Dragon Egg is worth 100 Indigoid (talk) 01:14, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

It should be covered here, not in the individual item pages. Generally April fool's content is not covered in main content articles.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 01:19, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
I suggest a table that's collapsed by default, cause that could be a little annoying 50.127.208.52 07:25, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
I would like to describe the value-to-xp conversion somewhere, but I'm not sure where it should go. I'll leave a description here so another editor or future me can place it somewhere appropriate:
Exiting a mine grants 10 points of experience for each mine ingredient in the mine plus one. The player also gains experience based on the square of the value of each stack in their inventory, equal to 1 experience point per value squared.
Some player unlocks affect a global multiplier to the total gained experience: each "learning" unlock adds 10% to the multiplier, while the school of hard knocks unlock halves the entire reward.
Challenge ingredients have a (*X) multiplier. They count as if they were X ingredients. Special mines work as if they had a challenge ingredient with a hidden multiplier.
So if you exit a mine with 9 ingredients, including one x5.0 and one x2.0 challenge ingredients, and you have one stack worth 1.0 and one stack worth 5.0, you'll get the following:
(14 ingredients + 1) * (1.02 + 5.02 + 10) = 15 * (1 + 25 + 10) = 540
if you have 4 learning upgrades and school of hard knocks, you'll receive 540 * 140% * 50% = 378 xp points
I obtained this formula empirically, and I ended up not testing special mines very much, but I'm pretty sure each type of special mine ingredient has a fixed (*X) multiplier. Tar-Roccorendil (talk) 06:05, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

Correct trophies render (individual trophies)

They look like collectible boxes i believe with a colored rim for their grade, instead of a traditional gold trophy. Please add more proper documentation for these 24.140.204.123 01:17, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

The item you're thinking of is actually a mob trophy, the trophy is a different item obtained differently/ Tar-Roccorendil (talk) 04:43, 7 April 2025 (UTC)

All Player Unlocks

[edit source]
Latest comment: 3 April 20253 comments3 people in discussion

Can we add all of the player unlocks in the unlocks section, along with instructions to get the hidden unlocks behind a spoiler?

KeeleyChaos (talk) 05:59, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

I would also like this! Could someone make a separate page for Player Unlocks, similar to an advancements page, and we can fill out the rest?
For example, I just figured out that the Artisan Crafting Player Unlock appears to occasionally save some of the materials used when crafting anything, and it's unlocked for purchase by (possibly?) crafting a stack of Crafting Tables. I did some testing and that's what I did to unlock the Unlock. Seemed important to note, so I wrote it here. Regfunkid2 (talk) 07:40, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
I NEED this! Please can SOMEONE finish the player unlocks page? OscarTheGreat (talk) 21:14, 3 April 2025 (UTC)

Axolotls have regeneration effect

Axolotls appear to have a regeneration effect when hitting them, making them impossible to kill EdeF (talk) 19:37, 3 April 2025 (UTC)

I don't know if that's related to the Craftmine snapshot at all, and it's also an intentional feature of Minecraft. They regen and "play dead" when at low health. Are you on the wrong talk page? Regfunkid2 (talk) 01:57, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

How on earth do you get every mine ingredient/secret player unlock in Craftmine?

Pets

[edit source]
Latest comment: 5 April 20252 comments2 people in discussion

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but are we going to give each of the individual pet mobs their own pages? Feel like that might bloat the navbox, I’d say it’s generally unwise to use the same sprites multiple times. Realshow19 (talk) 05:11, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

Might be easier (and neater) to just mention all the pets on a specific "pets" page for the snapshot. It would make the page rather long i'd imagine, but we already do it for the Advancements page. Regfunkid2 (talk) 01:58, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

The 'Skill Tree' and 'Debuff' sections of the article do not conform to the style guide of the wiki (among other issues).
Notably, the statement regarding the defensive capabilities of shields not working in this snapshot is true from my observations and experiences with this snapshot.

Unnecessary tabs

[edit source]
Latest comment: 4 April 20252 comments2 people in discussion

I don't think we need the Skill Tree tab in this article, as it seems to talk about something you can just go to the Player Unlocks article for. Debuffs is a good tab, but it needs to be rewritten and possibly moved somewhere else. That could probably also go on Player Unlocks with School of Hard Knocks, anyways. SweetAplle (talk) 11:15, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

I agree with getting rid of the Skill Tree tab, it's completely redundant. 2404:440E:3100:BA00:F002:E137:135D:D18C 11:35, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

I got a Shiny golden Parrot trophy in a mine. Can someone do the math and tell me how rare it is? I have no idea bc I suck at complex mathematics. please help me out so I can flex on my best friend! 204.171.50.30 17:09, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

As it says in the article, the chance of obtaining a golden trophy is 13.8%, and the chance of a trophy being shiny is 1%. So for each parrot you kill you have a 0.138% chance of getting a shiny golden trophy. Tar-Roccorendil (talk) 07:58, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Additions table links

[edit source]
Latest comment: 9 April 20251 comment1 person in discussion

Some entries (namely Sky, Mine, and Trophy) in the additions table don't link to the correct pages. How can that be corrected? Template:Additions table doesn't say anything about cases where the block/item's page title isn't the same as the file name (e.g. due to the page being disambiguated, which is the case here). Tar-Roccorendil (talk) 08:19, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Wheat Farm, really?

[edit source]
Latest comment: 29 April 20253 comments1 person in discussion

Inside the list of rooms we have the "Junction (wheat)" and the Room "Wheat Farm". It could be a hoax from Mojang to do so but I don't think that there really are two such rooms. I cannot determine absolutely, but I guess its just one of these two really existing. Am I right? can someone please verify from the source code? -- Fulgorth (talk) 13:39, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Edit: I can however verify that Junction (wheat) exists! -- Fulgorth (talk) 14:08, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Edit2: Also the possible commands that lack of the command for a second Wheat-Room make me think that there is no room called "Wheat Farm". I guess same goes for the test room. There are mentioned two test rooms both with Emerald and Redstone on the ground. But same as with the wheat farm, there is only one command "test" My evaluation is, that both are the same and the one is the room's name and the other is the room description shown on the key. Please verify! Thanks! -- Fulgorth (talk) 14:34, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Dragonegg

[edit source]
Latest comment: 12 May 20253 comments2 people in discussion

I was not able to verify this. Can someone please verify that the Enderdragon does not drop/spawn the Dragonegg? If this is true there would be no possibility to receive this in survival. If it would be dropped the egg would be renewable in this version (even if the dragonegg would only be dropped on first dragon kill). Both facts should be mentioned if true, no? -- Fulgorth (talk) 14:29, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

The End dimension, where the dragon makes the dragon egg spawn at after you kill it, doesn't exist, so it probably doesn't. πŸ‘ Image
NmF (talk) 20:31, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
True, but the special mine exists where there is the enderdragon and the end exit portal (or at least the structure surroundig it) plus the endcrystal pillars exist. The Dragon is purging and reacting mostly normal but the surrounding terrain and mobs change the fight drastically. My first fights had 1. The exit Portal under water (maybe the egg can't spawn inside the water. 2. dozens of Ghasts flying and shooting at me (the egg might have been hit and teleported away before I was able to see it. 3. exit portal merged with terrain and buried with tons of gravel during the fight.
This is why I cannot tell clearly that there might not have been a egg spawn inside the first fight. I guess I will have to find out by myself as noone can verify? Fulgorth (talk) 17:38, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Potential additions/corrections?

Hey Hey, I the contents of the unlock effects of some player unlocks are incorrect but I don't quite know how to prove it outside of just mentioning my experiences.

The "dirt enjoyer" player unlock apparently also drops dirt from your inventory, but I don't know what interval of time it has. It also drops moss blocks from your inventory, but I haven't tested the dirt unlocks past dirt enjoyer. Then, the Apprentace/Master smelter also improve how much fuel items can give; The apprentace improves the fuel given by coal/charcoal from 8 items to 16 items and the Master smelter improves it to a little under 24 items in a normal furnace and a little over 24 items when using a blast furnace. I think that every fuel sources fuel ammount can be derived from coal/charcoal, so I hope this helps Codrineye (talk) 07:12, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi I think I found an error in the Additions Table.

when you click on the sky icon in the table, it links to the page about the sky and not the sky (Block).

I'm new to the Wiki and don't know how to fix it.

If you now how to fix it, I would be thankful if you can do it.

Thanks in advance. Endgames (talk) 17:01, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
