Distinction between Programmer Art and Classic textures

[edit source]
Latest comment: 28 January2 comments2 people in discussion

Should we consider these interchangeable? Obviously they're meant to be the same thing for the same purpose, but texture packs work differently between versions. For one, they're able to easily change models, so zombie pigmen still exist on Bedrock. Not sure if it's worth a split, but it might be good to list every asset affected and document the differences. They are conceptually the same thing and the textures are the same for the most part, so there's no need to split them. I agree that we should probably have renders for all affected game features and that differences between editions should be pointed out clearly. --Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 17:39, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

There’s very little information on what the pack actually contains. Realshow19 (talk) 01:27, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
isn't that what a wiki, like this one, is for, you guys have to get your info from somewhere πŸ‘ Image

I don’t think you understand the point of a stub, it’s supposed to be encouraging people to develop the page. It explains what the pack is, sure, but none of the individual contents. Compare it to the Texture Update page which goes over what everything looked like and became. Realshow19 (talk) 01:42, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
im not asking why a page that looks like this is a stub
im asking why this page of all pages, looks like this πŸ‘ Image

You could help expand it instead of asking why it's a stub. πŸ‘ Image

Editing the wiki is volunteer work, so not every page gets the same level of attention. Most people edit the topics they're personally interested in, which means some pages remain undeveloped simply because no one has taken the time to expand them. I'm sure you've pages in similar states and even worse than this, like the missing history information that was mentioned in Story Mode talk:Wiki for the same reason that nobody has done it yet. πŸ‘ Image

Unresolved

Verify that all the specific textures listed are in either version of the pack, the table just looks like it was copied from the Texture Update page.
