The Twisted Warden is a colossal warden boss that emerges after opening the Deep Dark portal. It can swing its giant fists, unleash a powerful sonic boom, and erupt fields of soul flames from the ground.

Story

[edit | edit source]

The Twisted Warden is a warden that was "affected by souls" and became "much bigger and much worse" as a result.[1]

Spawning

[edit | edit source]

The Twisted Warden can be found in the Deep Dark.

Behavior

[edit | edit source]

The Twisted Warden is a slow-moving enemy with deadly attacks. At a close range, it swings its arms in a wide arc, dealing heavy damage and flinging any mobs it hits.

Sonic boom

[edit | edit source]

At a range, the Twisted Warden bows down, filling its maw with light, before unleashing a wide beam in the direction its facing. This beam deals continuous damage and knockback, slamming mobs into walls if they fail to escape it. The beam can be blocked by a totem of shielding, but it quickly breaks through its shield. After the beam ceases, a row of soul fire is left in its path.

Fire eruption

[edit | edit source]

The Twisted Warden opens its stomach, sucking in souls from the surrounding atmosphere, and proceeds to fire them into the floor, erupting patches of soul fire all over the arena.

Summoning

[edit | edit source]

The Twisted Warden opens its mouth and roars, causing miners, skeletons, and braziers to spawn around it.

When at low health, the Twisted Warden can rapidly spin its body, dealing devastating damage and knockback to any mobs caught in its path. After seven seconds, it stops spinning and briefly falls to the ground, creating an attack opportunity.
