Foreign investors show interest in new retail real estate development projects – UTG

Foreign investors are showing interest in new retail real estate development projects with budgets of up to EUR 20 million, said Yevhenia Loktionova, director of UTG, a real estate consulting and brokerage company.

"There are many requests from European investors, not Ukrainian ones, for ready-made businesses. For example, they are interested in a built network of small retail parks with tenants already in place," Loktionova said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine in Kyiv on Wednesday.

According to her, there is also active interest at the development stage, in unfinished or abandoned buildings that can be relatively quickly refurbished and launched, or in land plots where such projects can be created, especially retail parks with an area of up to 12,000 square meters. However, such supply is currently almost nonexistent on the market.

UTG was founded in 2001 and has developed more than 1,300 real estate concepts. Over the years, with the company's involvement, 4.7 million square meters of commercial space have been leased in Ukraine.
