sources for the crafting recipe, please. i find it very difficult to believe it's real.
I'm aware that Cubfan, a Hermitcraft member has stated multiple times that the Dried Ghast has a crafitng recipe. However, he does not have any sources other than "someone at Mojang told us in a Q&A". This is a very vague claim, and there is nothing to prove this actually happened. Until it is confirmed in a snapshot the crafting recipe should be removed as it is effectively hearsay. PencilVoid (talk) 14:08, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
Bobicraft, the youtuber that appeared in the minecraft live, was allowed to play with the happy ghast, and in a video he said two mechanics that were not revealed in the live.
First, he mentioned the crafting recipe, being four ghast tears in the corners and five bone blocks filling the rest.
Second, when the happy ghast reaches cloud height, it'll get the regeneration effect.

From what we can see in the showcase for the Dried Ghast, there's also a version for it when it is slightly rejuvenated, but not a lot.
If someone can make a render for the neutral Dried Ghast, that'd be great. Iactuallycantdothat (talk) 15:51, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
I counted the number of frames it took to mine the dried ghast in the video, and it took about 46 frames in a 60 fps video. This means it took 0.75 seconds (or 15 ticks) to mine the dried ghast by hand, meaning it has a hardness value of 0.5. Can we add this? Windwend (talk) 20:46, 23 March 2025 (UTC)

there is a source listed in the crafting arrangement that I am unsure of its legitimacy. The video is in Spanish and as I don't know Spanish could someone who knows verify it. Can't tell if the video is a speculative crafting arrangement or official. Lead (talk) 10:37, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
as the user Iactuallycantdothat said in the talk page, there should be a neutral face / middle-staged render/item icon thing for the upcoming dried ghast block in the showcase area (in-between "Dried" and "Hydrated"). Seen on the livestream - there are three stages to the block based on the face of the block. Sad (the default one found in nether), Expressionless (missing on the wiki) and Happy (the one right before turning into the mob).

The source for the crafting recipe leads to a tweet from a non-mojang employee, which makes me skeptical of misinformation.
God i wish a conclusion could be drawn for this discussion already. Considering all points mentioned above (the only source is someone allegedly allowed to playtest the ghast updates, unaffilliated with mojang) the only source available for a dried ghast recipe still seems refutable. I would like to also mention that the dried ghast's rarity is confirmed to be Uncommon, which would be impossible if all the crafting recipe is legitimate, since the Bone Block and Ghast Tear both have the Common rarity. Refer to the changes in rarity made in Tricky Trials, where all craftable items inherit the highest rarity of its ingredients. TheTreeDemoman (talk) 05:35, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
For stuff that's not implemented yet or what version it is on. Please Please, I am kindly asking, have a disclaimer or some sort of bold notification that it is only on that version, Bedrock or Java only or it is not currently implemented yet. Especially for those using the wiki on mobile. Everything is collapsed.
Went out of my way to craft the dried Ghast 4 Ghast tears and the Bone blocks, can't craft it yet.
Come to find out it is not implemented yet.
Basically I searched for it the past few days then tried to craft it after getting all the mats. Also it doesn't help that Minecraft content creators all over access to it and I don't.
I canโt figure out how to get the dried up ghast.pls tell me how to get it
