Someone confused hearts with hp and said the nautilus has half the health it was shown to have. 2600:1700:92A0:6010:AC80:3E77:B472:D2FB 22:48, 27 September 2025 (UTC)

When searching for "Nautilus" in the wiki search, the search options do not include the upcoming Nautilus mob (or even Zombie Nautilus), only the pages for Nautilus Shell and Heart of the Sea. While I'd love it to be fixed soon, I'd love it even more to know how to fix it myself, as it's also an issue with the Zombie Horse page not appearing when searching for just "Horse" while Skeleton Horse and others do appear.

Thanks everyone 😊

If I remember correctly we just need to wait for the wiki search thing to index the page. I don't think it's manually indexable so our only option is to wait. -- Eatyourglory   Talk   Edits  09:23, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
Interesting. That makes sense since the Nautilus is a very new page, but is that also the case with the Zombie Horse page not appearing when searching simply for "Horse" (as it's a years-old page)? MoreMania (talk) 11:06, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
I'm assuming it's not a very popular page, so it isn't getting pushed higher in the search. If im correct, that'll probably fix itself due to the influx of page visits πŸ‘ Image

Its just a cache issue. It should be automatically fixed soon. πŸ‘ Image

Thankfully it's fixed now, but if I add a space afterwards (eg "Nautilus "), it has a different photo. It's the same Nautilus page, but I'm not sure what the photo is of. I took a screenshot: https://ibb.co/N692tyRt. MoreMania (talk) 00:44, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
I (for my own reasons) cant access that screenshot, but when I search it, it has the same image regardless of how many spaces I throw on the end, which makes it odd that you'd get a different one πŸ‘ Image

Neutral behavior

[edit source]
Latest comment: 3 October 202512 comments8 people in discussion

I couldn’t find any mention of the nautilus’s neutral behavior in the main livestream, the aftershow, or the Minecraft.net article. It’s possible I missed it, so could you please share a quote or a link with the timestamp? Kokloswine (talk) 19:20, 28 September 2025 (UTC)

It's not confirmed, but one of the Minecraft Live teasers suggested the nautilus could kill the player, so I presume it is being based on that. πŸ‘ align=top

There is zero confirmation of how much damage it deals, but probably more than zero. πŸ‘ align=top

Possibly. SUSSPENCER (talk) 23:29, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
The blurred part is too short to be "Zombie Nautilus". KD2Dtcl 13:01, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
Your right. I thought it could be "drowned" and the drowned riding a zombie nuatilius but that doesn't make much sence. CrockCraftMC (talk) 13:05, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
I think it’s because they want the Zombie Nautilus as a surprise but if they put β€œzombie”, that would not be obvious. Jaime-Spec MC (talk) 13:12, 3 October 2025 (UTC)

We don't have any sounds for the nautilus yet. They'll probably appear in the next Preview. πŸ‘ align=top

Do they drop their shells upon death?

--FeedbackBot 07:35, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
We do not know, we have no information on this yet.πŸ‘ Image
WillyBlue (talk | contribs) 07:37, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
Who knows. The shells are a somewhat rare item, so they might not have a high chance of dropping since that would make them too easy to obtain since the nautilus is breedable. Or maybe they would have a high drop chance and nautilus shells would suddenly be less rare. Or maybe they don't drop at all, meaning the item will keep its current rarity. I think the last outcome is very unlikely though. -- Simanelix (T|C) 14:28, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
After testing on the snapshot with a Looting III sword, I haven't managed to get a nautilus shell from any of the nautiluses yet. Zombie Nautiluses do drop rotten flesh though. 2A00:1E:C905:DC01:80B8:3ADC:FC8:2708 18:18, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

Animations for all renders of the nautilus and zombie nautilus are still fan-made and not very similar to the official thing.

--FeedbackBot 05:46, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
Why? MinecraftFan26 (talk) 14:41, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
I have created files for the animation which are based on the source code (so it's exactly correct). I am unable to render it correctly, though. So if someone would be willing to render it, I can try sending the file somehow. -- Nomis12 (T|C) NL Admin 19:19, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
Animations from Bedrock is now used. If you think that they are still different from Java, please make a new feedback. Thanks! πŸ‘ Image

There should be speeds, using ctrl+f for "speed", blocks", "second", "meters", "b/s", "m/s", and "per" don't yield any speed-related results.

The perlas term "nautilus" is not "nautiluses" but rather "nautilie". Because for example, "cactus" is "cacti" in perlas.

--FeedbackBot 23:55, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
No, it's "nautili".
"Nautiluses" is used here since Mojang uses it. β€” 3A πŸ‘ BlockSprite lime-concrete.png: Sprite image for lime-concrete in Minecraft

It's not though. Wiktionary:nautilus: "nautilus (plural nautiluses or nautili)". The first one listed is the standard or most used one.  Nixinova  T β„ C  00:16, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
Both are equally correct; however since Mojang consistently uses the former, we will also do so. πŸ‘ Image

Incorrect info on feeding/breeding

[edit source]
Latest comment: Wednesday at 04:562 comments2 people in discussion

So, I came to this page to look at drop info and while looking I saw that the nautilus could be fed any fish and fish in buckets. However, when I tried this in game (version 26.1.2 and tested in latest release 26.2) it didn't work at all. From what I can tell, adult nautilus can only be fed pufferfish and nothing else (with the exception of babies and the golden dandelion). I tried this with a tamed and untamed one as well. ~2026-SquidMoobloomPlateau17715 (talk) 01:17, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

Are you sure that the adult nautilus is tamed? For me, after I tame it, I tried feeding it raw cod and it worked, 26.3-snapshot1 ‑‑MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 04:56, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
