Player Skin

Is there a player skin like the Ray Tracing mob?

A YouTuber called iShoya has a nerdy twin; iNerdya. 2001:8F8:1A63:13C3:716A:E581:86EC:45B3 14:06, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

The texture file uses the same format as player skins, so you can use it directly as your skin: File:Ray Tracing (texture).png --Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 14:15, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

Why was it moved

Why was it moved from Ray Tracing (mob) to Ray Tracing (character) when Ray Tracing is a mob? ๐Ÿ‘ Image

Ray Tracing is clearly a character. There is only one Ray Tracing. They also act like a player, not a mob.Drour1234 (talk) 02:08, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
You are confusing the technical term "mob" from the in-universe term "mob" from spin-offs. They are different. ๐Ÿ‘ Image

See the Wikipedia article for the technical term, Mob (video games) ๐Ÿ‘ Image

Mobs are non-player characters, even if they have complex programmed behaviors like acting like a player, they are still mobs. ๐Ÿ‘ Image

They can be mobs and โ€œcharactersโ€ at the same time you know, these two are correlated. Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk) 11:08, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
Yes this is correct in both technical mob and the in-universe term.
All mobs (technical) are non-player characters, but not all characters are mobs (technical) because some aren't in the game.
All mobs (in-universe term) are characters, ranging from being generic background characters to protagonists. And all characters are mobs since it's just an ambiguous synonym for "creature".
I have noticed this kind separation of the "mobs" and "characters" before. It's the removal of the witch in Movie:Mob with "Not a mob by the movieโ€™s logic" as the edit summary, which seems strange. It's both a character and a mob. ๐Ÿ‘ Image

I agree with everything you said. Rogerio980Pizzaa (talk) 11:26, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
