Hey there! If you haven't heard, we've decided to move away from Fandom to a new, independent wiki. I noticed you've contributed quite a bit, so I'd really appreciate your input on our skin designs for the new wiki, whether you think we should enable dark or light mode by default, and if you have any other feedback. You can leave your feedback on this page. I hope you can join us over there! - Harristic (talk) 15:07, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Toaddie83. I wanted to know how to make custom sprites. Do you have any things to share? Is there a tutorial? I'm a beginner editor, so I'm sorry if I asked too much. Thank you! STARStories (talk) 02:42, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi! Sorry for not replying sooner. The rules for making sprites are very simple, but important. I always try to follow them:
• The size should be 16 × 16 pixels.
• They should be recognizable at a glance. Since they’re so small, adding too much detail can make them confusing to look at. I like using contrasting backgrounds to better distinguish the layers and important elements of the environment, such as trees or other iconic features, which should have a recognizable silhouette.
• They should include in-game elements to properly represent the biome or structure the sprite is showing.
• I personally like making them cartoonish, adding details like shadows, lighting, and reflections, but don’t overuse them, because with such small pixel art, less is more.
And one more tip: artists should experiment with their own styles, while still following the rules. Having fun is also an important part of the process :>
To upload the file, go to the “Upload File” page and upload it using the name format: TypeSprite name-of-the-sprite.png (e.g., BiomeSprite pale-garden.png).
Additional note: For block or entity sprites, it’s best to use the game’s original textures (or replicate them as closely as possible) since they should stay fully consistent with the game.

Hello and once again thank you very much for your awesome environment sprites! I was wondering if you forgot these, or do not have time:
Don't feel pressured to update them soon as they are unused/removed anyways, but I just wanted to let you know. MinecraftBedrockPlayer7 (talk) (contribs) 👁 Image

Hello, I know you are an expert at sprites. Are invicons the same, or are there users you think more expert in invicons than you? Because I wanted to ask some things about invicons. Please let me know :) (sorry for messed up word choices) STARStories (talk) 17:05, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
