Quarry reopened in 1993 after it had been inactive for 25 years.

Note on the mineral list: "Gartrellite" is described by Vecchi et al. (2013) in association with carminite. However, the description (as "cubes with beveled corners or penetration twins") and an SEM photo on p. 117 clearly indicate a pseudo-cuboctahedral member of the alunite family. Therefore, the mineral has been marked as unconfirmed in the list.
