Ukrainian pasta prices to rise by 10–12% in 2026 – analysts
Prices for Ukrainian-made pasta products will increase by 10–12% in 2026 due to a significant decline in business margins in the previous year, said Oleksiy Nadvodniuk, an analyst at ProConsulting, speaking at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Flour Millers of Ukraine union.
The expert said that the reason for this dynamic is the gap between producer price indexation and actual consumer prices in 2025.
Nadvodniuk suggested that such an increase in domestic product prices could lead to a higher share of imported goods on the market. Currently, Ukrainian producers account for 43.7% of the market structure, while the remainder consists of imports.
Among the key market trends, the analyst highlighted price pressure and promotional campaigns by various retail chains, growing demand for premium products resulting from supplies of such goods to Ukraine as part of humanitarian aid, the strengthening role of retailers' private labels, the displacement of economy-segment imports by the mid-range segment, and the growing share of instant pasta.
At the same time, the expert noted that Ukraine demonstrates high competitiveness in the export segment of instant pasta, which continues to increase its market share.
