Beacontown is a large town founded by the New Order of the Stone and led by the group's leader, Jesse. It is the primary setting of Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two.

Location

[edit | edit source]

Beacontown is located in the Overworld, being vertically opposite to Champion City, and east of the temple of the Order of the Stone.

Beacontown is located far enough from Redstonia and Boom Town that it’s inconvenient to frequently visit, but near enough for occasional visits to not be impossible.[1]

A continuity issue regarding Beacontown's location is seen through Hero in Residence and Below the Bedrock; at first, Beacontown is located to the north-west of the world, but due to its revealed proximity to the temple of the Order of the Stone, it should be located east of it and close to the center of the world.

History

[edit | edit source]

Beacontown was first revealed at the end of A Block and a Hard Place as a small village with a week's worth of construction. At the village, Jesse's gang was established as the New Order of the Stone by the Old Order of the Stone in what can be seen as the first Founding Day celebration and the first activation of the Rainbow Beacon.

Around six to eight months later[2] during Order Up!, the village had grown into a small town with roads, houses, and buildings. Ivor is shown to have settled into town, but his home gathered much attention due to it being deemed "unsafe". Jesse could choose whether Ivor's home should be left alone or if it should be torn down. The Order Hall is also revealed, with an inner treasure room housing items from the adventures of the New Order of the Stone.

In A Journey's End?, following the gang's journey through the portal network, Olivia states that there were many improvements made to town while they were gone.

5 to 7 years later[3] by the time of Hero in Residence, Beacontown had been formally named and had seen various improvements be made to it along with greater expansions. Some inhabitants of other worlds such as Nell, Stacy Plays, and Stampy Cat are shown to now reside in Beacontown. It is also shown that a legendary adventurer named Jack had settled into town and owned a map shop within "Bad Luck Alley", an alleyway district where-in its inhabitants seem to live off the grid and outside the rules of Beacontown. Beneath the town exists a mine with various tunnels that ultimately lead to the Heckmouth's cavern.

Following an adventure to Doom Sea, Jesse would present the structure block to the townspeople and unveil either the Tower of Builder or the Wall of the Builder. As the celebrations for Founding Day began, the Admin would appear in Beacontown having followed Jesse from the Sea Temple.

At the beginning of Giant Consequences, Beacontown was heavily damaged as a result of Jesse's battle against Romeo. As repairs were made, Romeo would reappear within the town and soon trapped the Overworld in an eternal, snowy night which would last until Jesse found and destroyed the giant clock.

During Jailhouse Block, "Jesse" seemingly returned home with "newly found powers", this unknowingly being the Admin to the townspeople, and as the real Jesse was imprisoned in the Sunshine Institute, Romeo would soon begin modifying Beacontown to his own "twisted" liking.

At the end of Below the Bedrock, Jesse and the gang return from the Underneath, arriving at the temple of the Order of the Stone. As the gang notice a firework going off in the distance, they head inside the temple and overlook the new Twisted Beacontown in horror, making Petra comment on whether she was losing it or not.

In Above and Beyond, Beacontown saw various changed be made to it, now being under the heavy control of Romeo. The town's citizens are shown to be fearful of either Jesses' presence. Jack's map shop is revealed to have been ransacked by either looters, the Admin's guards, or by Romeo himself. Beacontown also saw the hosting of an event titled "JesseCon" and the creation of a floating tower which primarily housed the portal to the Terminal Space on its roof.

Following the defeat of the Admin, Beacontown would begin a restoration process under the "Beautification Project". The much that would be restored leading up to the finale was all of Beacontown's lava being replaced with water, determinantly excluding the lava on Ivor's pad, and the floating tower having trees planted on it and being accessible from the ground level via the use of scaffolding.

Architecture

[edit | edit source]

The buildings in Beacontown are diverse as each citizen has their own style. Common building materials are colored wool, oak wood, stone bricks, colored blocks, windows, etc. In Above and Beyond, the new buildings made for Twisted Beacontown seem to be made out of obsidian, gray concrete, and light gray concrete, along with gray glass and flowing lava.

Culture

[edit | edit source]

Beacontown's culture is relatively known as pacifistic, inclusive, and diversive, with a seeming emphasis on heroic nature. Beacontown, along with Boom Town and Redstonia, hosts a regional holiday denoted as "Founding Day" which honors the fallen Reuben and Magnus or Ellegaard, and celebrates the foundation of the New Order of the Stone and their triumph against the wither storm.

Administration

[edit | edit source]

Beacontown is mainly led by Jesse, with their leadership title being known as the "Leader and Hero in Residence", though Petra simply sums it up as being the town's mayor. During Hero in Residence, as Jesse is about to venture out to Doom Sea, they can choose to leave Radar in temporary charge of Beacontown. At the end of Above and Beyond, if Jesse chooses to leave Beacontown, they can once again choose to leave Radar as the town's leader, although this time promoting him from an "intern" into Beacontown's "Hero-In-Residence".

Jesse: Not to pat myself on the back TOO hard... but THERE is a statue.
(If Jesse built something minimal or left a blank canvas.)
Jesse: I was going for minimal. Striking. And I definitely succeeded.

Citizen (history enthusiast)

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Citizen: Oh wow. It is really you. My friend told me this was a recreation of your first big build, way back before the Witherstorm, before all that stuff. Is it true? You have got to tell me more about it. I can barely even picture it! I have devoured everything Lukas has written about you guys in those days... But I still have so many questions.
πŸ‘ Image
Let me tell you about it.
Jesse: Ha, alright. I love talking about the good old days..
Citizen: Yes!!! I’m just so curious... where does your inspiration come from? Was there a deeper meaning? Oh, or like, a critique of the world maybe?
πŸ‘ Image
 It was a group effort.
Jesse: I draw my inspiration from my friends - We were a team. It was a group effort.
Citizen: Oh, classic Jesse. I love that.
(If the statue is a creeper.)
πŸ‘ Image
 It’s a creeper.
Jesse: It’s um... it’s a creeper.
Citizen: Oh. I thought maybe there’d be more to it than that... but, um, guess not.
(If the statue is an enderman.)
πŸ‘ Image
 It’s an Enderman.
Jesse: It’s um... it’s an Enderman.
Citizen: Oh. I thought maybe there’d be more to it than that... but, um, guess not.
(If the statue is a zombie.)
πŸ‘ Image
 It’s a zombie.
Jesse: It’s um... it’s a zombie.
Citizen: Oh. I thought maybe there’d be more to it than that... but, um, guess not.
πŸ‘ Image
 I wanted to win.
Jesse: It was like anything else in life: I wanted to win, so I had to build the best thing those judges had ever seen.
Citizen: Oh. I thought maybe there’d be more to it than that... but, um, guess not.
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
(Jesse seemingly shrugs.)
Citizen: I guess the β€œmind of a hero” is a hard one to understand sometimes.
Citizen: The build I really wish I got to see was what you built to take down the Witherstorm. Now that must have been terrifying. Tentacles everywhere...
πŸ‘ Image
 It wasn't that bad.
Jesse: Eh, it wasn’t so bad. I just looked it right in its dumb, world-destroying face and said β€œHey, you. Leave my world alone.β€œ
Citizen: Oh, wow. I guess that is why you are Hero-In-Residence.
πŸ‘ Image
 We were all afraid.
Jesse: Yeah we were all really scared... for a while there, it looked like the Witherstorm might win.
Citizen: Well, speaking on behalf of β€œThe World,β€œ I am really glad you were there to stop it.
πŸ‘ Image
 My friends helped.
Jesse: Well it’s like I said about drawing inspiration from my friends - We all gave each other strength during that fight.
Citizen: Amazing. I hope I have friends like that someday.
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
(Jesse seemingly nods in agreement.)
Citizen: Oh, you are just the best. Oh, and thank you so much for taking the time to stop and talk to me.
Jesse: Not a problem. I’ll see you around alright?
πŸ‘ Image
 My friend is waiting.
Jesse: Uh, I’m sorry, but I’ve got a friend waiting for me.
Citizen: Oh... yeah. Okay. That makes sense. Well, um, tell them β€œhi, hi” for me?
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Citizen: Um... was it something I said?
Radar: Huh? Oh no, no, no. Jesse just has, uh... a very busy schedule today. Come on boss, let’s, uh... let’s keep moving.

Reuben memorial

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Look at
Jesse: Best pig that ever lived. Miss ya buddy.
Radar: Aw man... I wish I could’ve met Reuben. He sounded amazing. I read Lukas’s book the other day. That chapter about Reuben almost got me crying right there...
πŸ‘ Image
 He saved us all.
Jesse: He was a hero. Saved everybody. He’d be really excited about how great Beacontown is now.
Radar: I bet that’s totally true.
πŸ‘ Image
 He was my best friend.
Jesse: Yeah... He was my best friend. Still miss him.
Radar: Aw...
πŸ‘ Image
 He would’ve liked you.
Jesse: I think he would’ve liked you.
Radar: Yeah?
Jesse: Oh yeah. I bet you would’ve totally been friends.
Radar: Wow...
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
(Saddened, Jesse remains silent.)
Radar: Sorry.
(The float coordinator approaches the pair.)
Citizen: Ohmigosh it’s you.
Jesse: Oh, yep, it’s me. What are you doing here?
Citizen: Oh wow this is actually perfect. For Founding Day this year we’re picking a pig to play the part of Reuben on the float!
Radar: Oh, that’s really cute.
Citizen: Right? Would you be interested in... maybe helping me pick? I mean, who knows Reuben better than Jesse, right?
Radar: Yeah talk about knowledgeable casting.
Citizen: It would be an honor to say that the pig was hand-chosen by Jesse for the part.
πŸ‘ Image
 I can do that.
Jesse: I would love to! Seems like the least I could do.
Citizen: Oh that’s fantastic! Thank you so much.
Jesse: Alright let’s see β€˜em!
Citizen: Okay piggies, show Jesse your good side! That’s Esteban... Smushy Cutecheeks... and Lord von Thunderpork VI. Tried my best to bring the pigs that felt the most... Reuben-esque. Hm?
Radar: They’re all adorable.
Citizen: Raised all of β€˜em myself.
πŸ‘ Image
 They’re all the same.
Jesse: But they all look exactly the same?
Citizen: What? No they-- I am offended! They are, I’m pretty sure, offended! Look at their offended little faces!
Jesse: Sorry. I just can’t pick one.
Citizen: Fine. Well in that case I guess there just won’t be a Reuben in the festival this year. C’mon boys.
(End of interaction.)
πŸ‘ Image
 Esteban
Jesse: Definitely Esteban. He’s got the most intelligent face.
πŸ‘ Image
 Smushy Cutecheeks
Jesse: I’m a Smushy Cutecheeks fan. He’s just got that vibe.
πŸ‘ Image
 Lord von Thunderpork VI
Jesse: My vote is for Lord von Thunderpork VI. No question. Look at the regal little guy.
Radar: Really?
Citizen: Ah! I knew that’s who you’d choose - Fantastic! Congratulations!! Thank you Jesse. I’m going to go get him ready and I’ll see you at the celebration!
Radar: Bye!
πŸ‘ Image
 Sorry, no time.
Jesse: Sorry, I just really don’t have a lot of time..
Radar: It’s true. Very busy schedule today.
Citizen: Okay, okay that’s fine. I understand. I’ll see you around!
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
(Jesse stays silent, making the citizen worry he has offended them.)
Citizen: I... I didn’t mean any offense? I’m sorry?
Radar: Ooookay let’s get going then?

(Said if the ingredients quest is active.)
Jesse: Just what I need to help Stampy and Stacy.

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Look at
Jesse: What is THIS for?
(Jesse steps on a pressure plate activating a sticky piston connecting to an upper piston which extends its arm and pushes Jesse to the ground.)

πŸ‘ Image

πŸ‘ Image

Radar: Not to rush you but, uh... should we... um, well, uh, go? Maybe?
Jesse: Oh, uh, yeah. Yeah.

Citizen (slime diving creator)

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Creator: Well hey hey look who it is!
Citizen: Jesse! Hey!
Jesse: Hey guys! What are you doing?
Creator: Glad you asked! We’re working on a new game for Founding Day that I guarantee you is going to be all the rage this year: Slime Diving! Wanna give us a hand finishing it up? I’ll letcha take the first dive. Bob designed the schematics, didn’tcha Bob?
Bob: Yep!
Citizen: It’s really cool.
Creator: 100% totally mostly safe we think.
πŸ‘ Image
 Sounds great!
Jesse: That sounds awesome - Let’s do it!
Creator: We’re going to be diving off of this excellent pagoda Bob designed... but we can’t decide what material to use.
Citizen: Thoughts?
(Jesse is shown which material they can use for building the pagoda.)
Bob: I’m just conflicted because I like all of them.
Creator: Aw, we know you do Bob. But don’t worry. Jesse’s gonna help us settle this.
πŸ‘ Image
 Pink Wool
Jesse: Nothing prettier than pink wool! Let’s get to it.
πŸ‘ Image
 Stone
Jesse: Stone IS safer. Why don’t we run with that.
πŸ‘ Image
 Wood
Jesse: Wood’s a classic choice. Let’s go with that.
(The group build the pagoda out of the chosen material.)
Jesse: Nice! That turned out great!
Creator: And just like I promised, you can take the first dive!
(Jesse is made to choose the way they’ll dive off the pagoda)
Creator: Just aim for the slime! It’ll be great!
Radar: Go Jesse! Woohoohoo!
Bob: Ohhh I’m nervous.
Citizen: Don’t worry, Jesse’ll love it.
Bob: I hope you’re right...
πŸ‘ Image
 Swan Dive
(Jesse dives off the pagoda performing a swan-dive maneuver.)
πŸ‘ Image
 Double Twist
(Jesse dives off the pagoda performing a double-twist maneuver.)
πŸ‘ Image
 Bellyflop
(Jesse dives off the pagoda performing a belly-flop maneuver.)
Jesse: H-ha woo! Ta da! Thanks everyone!
Radar: Jesse! That was INCREDIBLE!
Creator: Seriously. Amazing dive. Thank you for that, thank you for the help before...
Jesse: No problem. Look, my friend’s waiting, so I gotta run, but nice work!
πŸ‘ Image
 Petra is waiting.
Jesse: Aw guys I’m really sorry. My friend Petra is waiting for me - I gotta run.
Creator: Oh... that’s alright, that’s alright. Next time I guess.
Citizen: Yeah...
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Creator: Are we building or having a staring contest? Eh?

Citizen (floating build creator)

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Jesse: Whatcha looking at, citizen?
Citizen: Oh! Jesse, wow. Hi. Just checking out my latest build from the ground. I’m worried it doesn’t, y’know, β€œfit.β€œ Is it putting the right energy into the universe? Is it the appropriate aesthetic addition to the tableau that is Beacontown?
πŸ‘ Image
 It’s perfect.
Jesse: β€œDoesn’t fit?β€œ I think it’s perfect!
Citizen: Oh! Wow, maybe I’m overthinking this.
Jesse: Yeah! I love it.
CItizen: This just gives me more to think about!
πŸ‘ Image
 Could use more wool.
Jesse: Hmmm. Could maybe use a bit more wool I guess.
Citizen: Ah! More wool, of course! Why I know think of that? Stupid! Now just to... get back up there...
πŸ‘ Image
How did you get up there?
Jesse: How’d you even get up there? That’s like... really high.
Citizen: Oh getting up wasn’t the hard part. Getting down was.
(The citizen starts laughing, but becomes haunted and dead-eyed at the end.)
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Citizen: I feel like... your staring is trying to tell me something. But I don’t know what. I will need to give this a lot of thought.
Jesse: Uhhh okay then. We’ll just leave you to it. Is he okay?
Radar: No I don’t think so.

StampyCat & StacyPlays

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Stacy Plays: I am telling you, Stampy - it needs to be pumpkin pie.
Stampy Cat: But cake is the best! And I would know, I have it every morning for breakfast!
Jesse: There some sort of problem here guys?
Stampy Cat: Hello Jesse! We heard about this Founding Day celebration of yours and we thought we’d make some sweets!
Stacy Plays: Yeah, and now I’m trying to convince Mr. Stampy here to make the right decision and pick pumpkin pie.
Stampy Cat: There you go with those leading presentations again.
Stacy Plays: Just... not everyone likes cake, Stampy.
Stampy Cat: Oh and pumpkin pie is the universally loved food? I think not.
πŸ‘ Image
 I’m all about cake.
Jesse: Well, I’m all about cake, personally. Love that stuff.
Stampy Cat: Ha ha! Yes! Exactly my stance!
Stacy Plays: You don’t need to rub it in....
πŸ‘ Image
 I love pumpkin pie.
Jesse: Ooh, I do love me some pumpkin pie.
Stacy Plays: Ha! See Stampy? Told you.
Stampy Cat: Ohh yes yes fine you really showed me. Cake is still better.
πŸ‘ Image
 We can have both!
Jesse: Why don’t we have both?
Stampy Cat: Ohh that’s a wonderful idea, but... we don’t have enough ingredients.
Stacy Plays: It’s true.
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Radar: I, uh, I’m a cookies man, myself.
(Stacy and Stampy stare angrily at Radar.)
Radar: Heh. Sorry.
Stacy Plays: Here, you should just take the ingredients and decide for us.
Stampy Cat: Yes I fear we’re gonna be debating in circles all day otherwise, heh.
(Jesse and Radar step away from the pair.)
Radar: You know... there might be some extra eggs and stuff around town. I bet you could find enough to do cake AND pie.
Jesse: Hm. Don’t have a ton of time... but I bet they’d be super surprised by that.
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to (after first interaction)
Stampy Cat: I am telling you Stacy, you’re just being too narrow-minded with your pastry selection! People. Love. Cake!
Stacy Plays: Right, and SOME people love. PIE.
Jesse: Hey guys.
Stacy Plays: Hey Jesse. You wouldn’t happen to have made a decision about this whole... cake versus pie thing yet, have you?
Stampy Cat: Yes. It’s still QUITE the source of frustration.
Jesse: Working on it.
πŸ‘ Image
 Give cake
Jesse: Order up! Got one delicious cake!
Stampy Cat: Ooooh it looks lovely!
Stacy Plays: Yeah if you’re into something that sweet...
Jesse: Sorry Stacy. I had to make a call.
Stacy Plays: Yeah I guess...
(Stampy Cat's cake celebration begins.)
Jesse: Look, I gotta run, Petra’s waiting. I’ll talk to you guys later, okay?
Stampy Cat: Byeeee!
πŸ‘ Image
 Give pie
Jesse: One pie! Hot off the table!
Stacy Plays: Heyy that looks delicious!
Stampy Cat: Yes. Well. You know, mostly.
Jesse: Sorry Stampy, had to make a call.
Stampy Cat: I suppose.
(Stacy Plays' pie celebration begins.)
Jesse: Look, I gotta run, Petra’s waiting. I’ll talk to you guys later, okay?
Stampy Cat: Byeeee!
πŸ‘ Image
 Give both
Jesse: He said cake, she said pie... I said why don’t we have both!
Stampy Cat: Oh well this is very surprising!
Stacy Plays: Yeah that’s awesome! How did you do that?
Jesse: Found some extra ingredients around town. No big deal.
Stampy Cat: Well that’s fantastic Jesse, thank you so much!
Stacy Plays: Yeah thanks! This is perfect!
(Stampy Cat's and Stacy Plays' cake and pie celebration begins.)
Jesse: Look, I gotta run, Petra’s waiting. I’ll talk to you guys later, okay?
Stampy Cat: Byeeee!

(Default dialogue.)
Jesse: Excuse me, um, ma’am. Thank you.

Mine entrance

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Meet with Petra
Radar: And here we are at the mines!
Jesse: Nice. Thanks for walking with me.
(If Jesse did not help around town.)
Radar: Of course! I wish we could’ve helped a couple more people get ready. I mean, Founding Day is all about how you took down the Witherstorm and all.
(If Jesse helped around town.)
Radar: Oh no, thank YOU Jesse. It was a pleasure watching you work, it truly was. Stopping to help all those people, helping them prepare for Founding Day... Very inspiring.
Radar: I’ll, uh... keep watch on things here while you’re gone. Off doing your... adventure-y things. Risking your life. Spitting in fate’s eye.
πŸ‘ Image
 Stop worrying.
Jesse: Just stop worrying so much, would ya?
Radar: β€œStop... Stop worrying.” I can do that. It’s so simple. Just β€œstop worrying.β€œ Am I oversimplifying it? I-I’ll work on it.
πŸ‘ Image
 Stop worrying.
Jesse: You better. Don’t disappoint me, Radar.
Jesse: I-I hadn’t even... thought about that being a possibility β€˜til just this moment..
πŸ‘ Image
 I have faith in you.
Jesse: Got all the faith in the world, buddy. You got this.
Radar: Thanks Jesse. I won’t let you down.
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
(Jesse offers Radar a fist-bump.)
Radar: Yes! That move-- that’s the one we’re doing...
Radar: Bye! Have a good time!
Jesse: Don’t I always?

Jesse: An ocelot...? What is that for?
(A pair of citizens run behind Jesse.)

Booth

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Look at
(Jesse looks at a booth featuring posters of themselves.)
Jesse: Uh huh. This place just keeps getting weirder and weirder...

Pressure plate

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Look at
(Jesse steps on the pressure plate and activates a piston contraption which pushes them to the ground.)
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Jesse: Hey Wink, have you seen Stampy and Stacy?
(Wink begins acting erratically.)
Jesse: Whoa, whoa. Relax. It’s just me. Boy you’ve gotten big.
(A golem notices Wink's behaviour.)
Jesse: You’re going to get me in trouble. Please close your dog mouth.
(This interaction is unlocked if Jesse accepted Carmine's rotten flesh in Jailhouse Block.)
πŸ‘ Image
 [Give Rotten Flesh]
Jesse: Here you go, boy. Please like it, please like it, please like it.
(Wink accepts Jesse's rotten flesh.)
Jesse: Somehow, I knew a fistful of rotten flesh would come in handy. Uh, good day to you.
(The golem steps away.)
Jesse: That was too close.
πŸ‘ Image
 [Reveal identity]
It’s me, Jesse!
(Wink understands Jesse and they gain Wink's trust.)
Jesse: Uh, good day to you.
(The golem steps away.)
Jesse: That was too close.
πŸ‘ Image
 I gave you a bone!
Jesse: Hey, remember I gave you that bone? I’m your friend, see?
(The golem carries Wink.)
Jesse: Hey!
(The golem zaps Wink away to the tower's prison.)
πŸ‘ Image
 Bad dog! Bad dog!
Jesse: Shh, bad dog! Bad dog!
(The golem carries Wink.)

(Jesse remains silent as Wink barks.)
(The golem carries Wink.)
Jesse: Hey!
(The golem zaps Wink away to the tower's prison.)

Guard

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Guard: Your greatness! I’ve searched everywhere for you! (to Golems) Stop there! (to Jesse) I present to you the newest JesseCon β€œvolunteers.” They await your orders. Not the brightest quartet in the bunch, but... Well they’re golems, so... Just give β€˜em an order and they’ll do whatever you need.
πŸ‘ Image
 Send them to their posts.
Jesse: You have to ask? Send them to their posts.
Guard: Right! I am so sorry to have disturbed you over such a small matter. You heard our mighty leader-- to your posts!
πŸ‘ Image
They should take the day off.
Jesse: You know what? Let them take the day off. Go slime diving or something.
Guard: Uh... er... Yes. Yes! Your leader has given you a request! I want to see dives so beautiful the people will weep!
πŸ‘ Image
 Have them watch each other.
Jesse Hm... Let’s see... I don’t like the look of these. Make them keep an eye on each other.
Guard: Yes. Yes, how could I ever have assumed they would be ready for responsibility without proper examination? My apologies. Everyone choose a fellow golem to guard!
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Guard: Oh my-- I am so sorry, why am I bothering you with something like this? Your time is precious! To your posts, golems! Keep an eye on anyone looking... unhappy.
(Romeo, disguised as Jesse, appears near them.)
Jesse: Uh oh!
(If Jesse fails to hide.)
Romeo: Jesse?! How?! No matter--
(Romeo zaps Jesse away.)
("Send them to their posts." and "...")
Romeo: Hmph. Surprised nothing’s blown up in my absence. Keep your eyes peeled for unhappiness.
("They should take the day off.")
Romeo: What is happening? I leave for even a moment and pandemonium ensues. Stop doing that and get back to your posts! Oh, don’t look at me like that. You know what you did.
("Have them watch each other.")
Romeo: What is happening? I leave for even a moment and pandemonium ensues. Oh, don’t look at me like that. You know what you did. Get back to your posts!
(Romeo disappears.)
Jesse: Phew! Okay, so he just pops in whenever he wants to. I better find Stella fast before the Admin finds me.

Ocelot poster (Bad Luck Alley)

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Look at
(If it is the first ocelot poster Jesse has interacted with.)
Jesse: An ocelot...? What is that for?
(A pair of citizens run behind Jesse.)
(If it is the second ocelot poster Jesse has interacted with.)
Jesse: Another ocelot? What are these for?
(Another pair of citizens run behind Jesse.)

Stella

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Jesse: Stella! Wait!
Lawrence: Uh... no? Lawrence. Laaawwwrence.
(Lawrence turns around and is spooked by Jesse's presence.)
Lawrence: I mean, you can totally call me Stella, though...
Jesse: I’m... actually looking for Stella. Blonde hair? Looks kind of-- well, like you. But not. Have you seen her?
Lawrence: No clue, bro. Maybe try the Order Hall? All the big-wig bros hang there. Doin’ their big-wig bro business, telling us all what to do...
(Lawrence runs away terrified.)

Citizen

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
(If Romeo destroyed Champion City.)
Jesse:
Citizen: Why did you destroy his home? What did Champion City do to you? Destroying homes left and right. Absolutely no regard for people’s lives. What kind of a leader is that?
πŸ‘ Image
 Are you questioning me?
Jesse: You dare question me?
Citizen: Oh no, no. Very sorry! Praised be Jesse.
πŸ‘ Image
 It’s only a city.
Jesse: It’s just a city. The people are safe, and have learned a valuable lesson.
Citizen: Except they have no homes. What happened to you, Jesse? I used to know you.
πŸ‘ Image
 That wasn’t me.
Jesse: It wasn’t me! It was someone disguised as me.
Citizen: Psh, sure deny any accountability. You really have changed.
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Citizen: You know it’s wrong and you won’t even admit it. I used to know you...
Jesse: (to self) I need this to end. Once and for all.
(If Romeo killed Xara.)
Citizen: Good...good morning, your Jesse-ness. You’re standing right here. Singling me out. I hope this is for a pleasant reason. And not something that banishes me to oblivion.
πŸ‘ Image
 Go about your business.
Jesse: On about your business, citizen. Yes of course, I bask happily in your Jesse presence.
Citizen: Yes of course, I bask happily in your Jesse presence.
πŸ‘ Image
 How are you?
Jesse: Good morning! How are you today?
Citizen: Is this a test?
Jesse: Um, no.
Citizen: Because if that was a test, I’m fine, perfectly fine.
πŸ‘ Image
 Don’t be afraid.
Jesse: Don’t be scared. I’m not going to hurt you.
Citizen: You won’t? I mean, I’m not scared. Everything is great, just as Jesse wills.
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Citizen: I’m great. Just minding my own business.
Citizen: I’d never want to be zapped liked the woman you argued with. Not that there’s anything wrong with Jesse zapping dissenters. Jesse knows all!
Jesse: (to self) I need this to end. Once and for all.

Pork chop stand

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Look at
Citizen: I did it, Jesse. I did what you asked. Now there are porkchops... for everyone...
(A golem begins walking towards the citizen.)
Citizen: Would you like to taste one? I made β€˜em myself. They’re... fresh... I promise!
πŸ‘ Image
 I will eat a porkchop!
Jesse: You know what? I will have a porkchop.
(The golem steps away.)
Citizen: You... would you like... Esteban... or Smushy Cutecheeks... or Lord von Thunderpork VI? They’re all good... Were good... They were so good...
πŸ‘ Image
 Esteban
Jesse: I think Esteban sounds... good.
Citizen: Right... away...
(Jesse eats Esteban's porkchop.)
πŸ‘ Image
You ate the porkchop. Wow.
πŸ‘ Image
 Smushy Cutecheeks
Jesse: Smushy Cutecheeks always was a favorite.
Citizen: Right... away...
(Jesse eats Smushy Cutecheeks' porkchop.)
πŸ‘ Image
You ate the porkchop. Wow.
πŸ‘ Image
 Lord von Thunderpork VI
Jesse: Gotta go with the royal porkchop. Lord von Thunderpork VI, please.
Citizen: Right... away...
(Jesse eats Lord von Thunderpork VI's porkchop.)
πŸ‘ Image
You ate the porkchop. Wow.
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
Citizen: You... changed your mind? You don’t want one?
πŸ‘ Image
 Uh... no thank you.
Jesse: No... no thank you. And you know what? You could... change to carrots, if you wanted...
Citizen: I’ll do that, thank you, Jesse... Maybe... maybe I’ll get some new pigs? I’ll name them Dennis... and Countess Pink Paisley IV...
Jesse: Hope that didn’t get this guy in trouble...
πŸ‘ Image
 How could you?!?
Jesse: No! How could you-- no. No more porkchops. No more.
Citizen: But you--but it-- I was... Okay. I’m so sorry...
Jesse: Hope that didn’t get this guy in trouble...
πŸ‘ Image
 ...
(Jesse stays silent, worrying the citizen.)
Citizen: They’re not cooked the way you like, are they? I’m so sorry! I’ll do better next time! Please don’t send me away.
(The golem zaps away the citizen.)

Reuben memorial

[edit | edit source]
πŸ‘ Image
 Look at
Jesse: Glad Romeo didn’t touch this at least...
πŸ‘ Image
 Talk to
Nell Yo, Jesse dude, just unveiled the new statue you built, yah... S’got, um... character... kinda liked the old one, but... Whoa, hey, I mean, this one’s totally rad, can’t keep my eyes off it. Kinda feels like it’s, like, following me sometimes though, y’know? Like I see it out of the corner of my eye... Just like that. Bam! Whoa...
πŸ‘ Image
 Change it back.
Jesse: You know what? I changed my mind. Let’s bring the old one back, shall we?
Nell: Dude! Can’t wait to see it again. Not that, y’know, this one wasn’t... Like, go with your gut, dude. β€˜Specially if it wants the old one back. Cha!
(Jesse destroys Romeo's statue.)
Nell: Righteous! Thanks, Jesse dude.
πŸ‘ Image
Your story is changing.
πŸ‘ Image
 Keep it this way.
Jesse: It is pretty great, isn’t it? I wouldn’t change a thing.
Nell: Cha, cha, sure, go with your gut.
πŸ‘ Image
Your story is changing.
(Romeo, disguised as Jesse, appears near the surf shop, Nell is shocked at seeing two Jesses.)
Nell: Whoa, what--?
(If Jesse fails to hide.)
Romeo: Jesse?! How?! No matter--
(Romeo zaps Jesse away.)
("Change it back.")
Romeo: What? Where is--where is my statue? You there! Nellie! What happened to my statue?
Nell: Uh... the one you just tore down cause your gut told you to?
Romeo: What? What are you talking about? What is she talking about?
Nell: Like two seconds ago, you were--
Romeo: You want to blame your insolence on me? Golems! Take her away!
Nell: Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm yourself dude, take some deep breaths okay--?
(The golems teleport away to the tower's prison with Nell.)
Jesse: Oh no... Nell...
("Keep it this way.")
Romeo: I just came by to once again admire the update I did to my... paltry first attempt at a statue. I really feel it’s some of my best work.
Nell: Yep, yep, coolio... Just keep it the way it is forever...
Romeo: Keep it, uh, hanging, Nellie dude. Catch you on the flip side.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • The name "Beacontown" was revealed during a Twitch stream at E3 2017.[6][dead link]
  • Eric Stirpe confirmed that the town in Season One was not Beacontown yet.[7]
  • Beacontown uses a barter-based economic system with iron ingots, diamonds, and emeralds being used as typical currencies.[1]
  • According to Eric Stirpe, Beacontown is a hub city that is connected to other towns via a subway and mail tube system. Beacontown is also connected to the worlds within the portal network, which means people from those worlds can come together in Beacontown, thus explaining the town's various build aesthetics.[9]
