Iron Ingot

[edit source]
Latest comment: 18 February 20221 comment1 person in discussion

In Bedrock Edition these can now be used to repair iron golems (as of 1.18.10 I believe), so I would like this fixed. I don't have an account... so I can't... sorry.

The article already says that. See Item#Items with use in the world. Amatulic (talk) 21:41, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

Goat Horn

[edit source]

Goat Horns are in Java Edition 1.19 can anyone add upcoming java 1.19. I don't have an account.

Sculk seems to be missing.

Mangrove Boats are missing from 22w11a in the History Section

[edit source]

"Mangrove Boat" is missing from 22w11a in the History Section

History Section is a mess of inconsistencies.

[edit source]

Some items, notably items that create entities (such as minecarts, armor stands and boats), are completely missing from the history section for earlier versions of Java Edition. However, items that spawn entities that were added in later Java Versions (such as Mangrove Boat, Cherry Boat and the Boat with Chest varirants) are present, even though they wouldn't have counted previously. Additionally, some items, such as Armor Stand, are present under the Bedrock headings but not the Java headings. If it is still the intention to omit items which create entities, a note on this should be written above the table and inconsistencies should be fixed, otherwise these missing items should be added.

Item vs. Block

[edit source]
Latest comment: 26 November 20241 comment1 person in discussion

What makes something an item vs a block if it doesn't have a clear block-style inventory icon? There seems to be some inconsistency here. For example, why is redstone considered an item that creates a block when used, whereas a turtle egg is considered a block? Should a turtle egg not be in the same category as redstone in this regard? --2A02:8108:C16:EF00:7CF7:4778:7F45:E112 20:10, 26 November 2024 (UTC)

add new items now because 1.21.4 is here now on December 3rd. KorayTehGOAT (talk) 10:23, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Since the update is out now, I think people are already on it and I think mostly finished. (By the way, I don't think "Ay!" is a very good topic name, it isn't descriptive.) -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  14:45, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
bruh why, i was just using "Ay!" for fun! am i gonna use "Hey!" instead? :) KorayTehGOAT (talk) 15:11, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
I'm just saying it's not very descriptive of a topic title, that's all. -~- Nerdyguy2000   Talk   Edits  15:12, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Unnecessary categories

[edit source]
Latest comment: 12 May 20254 comments4 people in discussion

why are categories such as "Items with use in the world" and "Items with indirect use in the world" separate? This is inconsistent with the blocks page and doesn't make a lot of sense to have. Potato3003 (talk) 21:43, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Honestly agreed, and it has bugged me for years. It's not a particularly useful way to split up items, and even causes a few items to be listed twice due to edition differences. This page should only provide a list of items, the actual usage should be described in the individual items page. That said, I think education items should be kept separate, and even spawn eggs as I feel they would "clog up" the list.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 22:50, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
The categories are somewhat arbitrary. Although, I'm torn between just having an alphabetical list like the block page or maybe grouping them by how they're grouped in the creative inventory. Some kind of logical grouping could make the page easier to use, and Mojang already made official categories. Education and joke items should continue to kept separate, of course. Update exclusive category?

[edit source]
Latest comment: 9 January 20251 comment1 person in discussion

Basically what im wondering is if there is a page somewhere on the wiki that categorizes items that are glitches/only obtainable in some updates. Like the infinity+mending bows. Items that were obtainable in one update and can be transferred into modern update but are no longer obtainable. Is there a list of those? Toastghost1543 (talk) 05:57, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

Change the Icon from a diamond pickaxe to a stick

[edit source]
Latest comment: 11 July 20252 comments2 people in discussion

My reasoning for this is that the stick is more common than a diamond pickaxe, and more new players would have this in their inventory. IAmSteve12354 (talk) 22:40, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

Oppose because diamond pickaxe is more iconic. --MinecraftExp123(talk|contribs) 03:12, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

Dropping items description wrong

[edit source]
Latest comment: 20 July 20252 comments2 people in discussion

It currently says "If an item that does not become a block is dropped, it becomes an entity...".

Why "an item that does not become a block"? As far as I know all items become entities when dropped, whether they are placeable blocks or not. 202.36.179.70 02:45, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Good point. It should say "When dropped, it becomes an entity...". -- Simanelix (T|C) 02:46, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Include the new shelf display

[edit source]
Latest comment: 30 October 20251 comment1 person in discussion

Many sentences still mention only the Item Frame (and its glowing counterpart) but have not yet been updated to mention the shelves.

...as well as in item frames and glow item frames [and shelves].

The only method by which an item can be properly displayed within the game environment is to place it into an item frame [or a shelf].

I can't edit yet as I am still a new user. Marioshouse2010 (talk) 15:08, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

Can you add another part to it to where you know what things are obtainable without the crafting table

Redstone dust

Redstone dust 'directly corresponds to a block', right? Somebode (talk) 11:06, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

The list of items under "Items that directly correspond to blocks" contains a lot of those blocks, rather than just items. This was not the case in previous versions of this page. This change has made the distinction between block and item less clear, has made the page less easy to navigate and has made it look bloated.
