The ultimate weapon, also known as a super weapon, was an enchanted diamond tool with the power of a command block. It was enchanted using Ivor's command enchanting book.

After the truth was exposed in Ivor's laboratory, Jesse was given the option to choose which diamond tool they would craft. They would enchant it with the command enchanting book. If Jesse enchanted a diamond hoe, Reuben would laugh at them.

After getting inside the wither storm, Jesse used it to strike the command block three times with each having an increasing challenge. Jesse, however, dropped the weapon accidentally which Reuben retrieves. After the final strike against the command block the block was destroyed together with the weapon.^[1]

During the freewalk sequence in the hallway inside the wither storm, the ultimate weapon can be switched to in the hotbar, revealing its name.

An ultimate tool can destroy any item, including the command block. The enchantment applied is specifically for destroying the command block.^[2]

• The handle of the ultimate sword is shorter than those of regular swords, matching the proportions of the regular swords in Minecraft, while the regular swords themselves have slightly longer handles.
• In the Adventure Pass artwork, Jesse is shown holding the ultimate sword despite losing it after destroying the command block in A Block and a Hard Place.
• The ultimate weapon does not appear in later episodes after A Block and a Hard Place because it was too complicated to implement and could have caused story problems depending on which tool the player chose.^[3]
