MIT offers ChatGPT Enterprise to all faculty members for academic and research use. ChatGPT Enterprise is an advanced version of ChatGPT, the popular AI tool developed by OpenAI. It provides enterprise-grade security and privacy protections, unlimited high-speed access to GPT-4, longer context windows (for processing large files and documents), and powerful capabilities for text generation, image creation, code execution, and data analysis.

How to Get Access

Request an Account

ChatGPT Enterprise is available to all MIT faculty through the following steps:

  1. Request a ChatGPT Enterprise account.
    • Note: Touchstone authentication is required to access the request form.
  2. A ChatGPT Enterprise invitation will be sent within 8 hours.
  3. Accept the invite to create your account.
  4. Start using ChatGPT Enterprise.

Privacy and Security Considerations

ChatGPT Enterprise at MIT is approved for use with research and administrative data classified as Medium Risk. It offers enhanced privacy protections, including:

  • Data is not used to train OpenAI’s models
  • Prompts and uploads stay private to the user
  • Enterprise-grade security built for institutional use
