Volume of construction work in Ukraine in Jan increases 3.3% – statistics
The volume of construction work performed in Ukraine in January 2026 increased 3.3% compared to January 2025 to UAH 11.254 billion, according to data from the State Statistics Service.
As the statistical agency reported, in January 2026 compared to January 2025, building construction volumes decreased 6.5%, of which residential buildings fell 12%, non-residential buildings 4%, while civil engineering construction volumes grew 15.5%.
The share of new construction in the total volume of construction work performed in January was 50.1%, repairs 27.4%, reconstruction and other work 22.5%.
According to the data, this year in January the construction output index compared to December 2025 reached 25.6%, with residential construction at 35.2%, non-residential construction 23.1%, civil engineering 25.4%.
According to the agency's seasonally adjusted data, construction output indices in January 2026 for residential construction were 53.8%, for non-residential construction 142.8%, for civil engineering 125.1%, and taking into account the calendar day effect the figures are 36.7%, 75.6% and 61.2% respectively.
