The term chest refers to the chests that can be found within missions, secret missions, sub-missions, sub dungeons, and Camp. The chest amount within a given location can be viewed by checking the map. There are several types of chests that exist in the game and each chest can give the hero gear and consumables (with the exception of the lobby chests which only give emeralds).

Types of chest

[edit | edit source]

Wooden chest

[edit | edit source]

A wooden chest is the most common chest that spawns in a mission that can give the hero emeralds along with: a bundle of arrows, a potion, or random gear that drops within that mission. Has an extremely rare chance to give unique items. Common chests can also be found on the back of trader llamas.

πŸ‘ Image

Supplies chest

[edit | edit source]

A supplies chest, also known as an inventory chest, is a large chest that can be found at the half way mark during missions. These chests provide a bundle of arrows and a bread.

πŸ‘ Image

Fancy chest

[edit | edit source]

A fancy chest is an uncommon chest within missions that drops similar loot as wooden chests do, the difference being that fancy chests give heroes a guaranteed gear drop with a very low chance to get a unique variant. Fancy chests can also be found tied atop the backs of piggy banks.

πŸ‘ Image

Hanging chest

[edit | edit source]

A hanging chest is a variant of the fancy chest found within Frosted Fjord Cave. They are found hanging down from the ceiling out of the hero's reach. A wheel is nearby to lower it. When turned, an ambush is started, and after defeating the enemies the chest is lowered so it can be opened.

Diamond chest

[edit | edit source]

A diamond chest or obsidian chest is a rare chest that can be found in missions that drop similar loot to wooden chests, however these chests provide a guaranteed rare gear drop with a high likelyhood of a unique variant, and an additional 50% chance of an artifact. Diamond chests also guarantee a large quantity of emeralds and two consumables once opened.

Mission loot chest

[edit | edit source]

A mission loot chest, also known as a reward chest, is a chest that appears upon the completion of any mission. These chests always provide any random artifact. After completing a daily trial, they can also provide a melee weapon, ranged weapon, armor, or an artifact. However, these chests always provide thirty gold upon the completion of an Ancient Hunt instead of regular loot.

Emerald chest

[edit | edit source]

An emerald chest, also known as a lobby chest, can be found within Camp as missions are completed. These chests will always provide exactly fifty emeralds, yet stop generating after the adventure difficulty is unlocked.

πŸ‘ Image

Small piglin chest

[edit | edit source]

A small piglin chest is a type of chest that can be found exclusively within ancient hunts yielding 4~6 gold rather than emeralds. These chests generate within gold rooms after arena battles and sometimes after a ghast boss battle.

πŸ‘ Image

Rare piglin chest

[edit | edit source]

A rare piglin chest is a type of chest that yields gold much like small piglin chests, with the difference being that these chests are larger and provide slightly more gold (8~10).

πŸ‘ Image

Raid reward chest

[edit | edit source]

A raid reward chest is a type of chest that provides additional post-mission rewards if a raid captain was defeated during that mission, and the banner was picked up by the hero. These chests provide random equipment, which have a higher chance of being unique with each defeated raid captain within that mission.

Storage chest

[edit | edit source]

You might also appreciate the new quality-of-life features coming, such as the highly anticipated storage chest that will bring order to your chaotic inventory.

β€” Luminous Night Announcement article description

The storage chest is a chest that can be found within Camp next to the village merchant. Unlike other chests, it doesn't offer a reward, but instead allows heroes to store items inside of it. This chest has three hundred inventory slots, and can be filled any with equipment from the hero’s inventory. If a hero is transferred to another device via the cloud, the contents of the storage chest will also be transferred with them.
