Safety First! is an animated short, made to promote and explain Minecraft Earth.
The video begins on an image of the game's logo, as a narrator argues that the game is fun and easy, but important to consider safety tips for. The first, "Be Aware", involves being mindful of one's surroundings. This is represented by a nitwit walking into a field, surrounded by tappables manifesting into existence. As the tappables stop appearing, the nitwit looks around, by extension looking away from their phone.
The next tip, "Don't Play and Drive", is to not play and drive. In this case, the nitwit is playing the game while in a minecart in a desert, and ends up nearly running over a chicken. The narrator warns the viewer that driving while playing is illegal, expounded when the nitwit then crashes into a smooth stone block. As the nitwit gets up, the narrator stresses "seriously, don't do it". The next tip is similar, being "Avoid Roads", where the nitwit is dangerously close to walking into a street with cars passing and a bouncing trader llama. The nitwit is saved by being spun backwards upon touching a car. From there the narrator stresses to "Avoid Water", conceding that water is pretty while a nitwit is approaching a river, saying it is also dangerous just as the nitwit falls in.
In the "Don't Trespass" section of the video, the nitwit approaches the fence of another villager, walking straight into it and destroying a post. The narrator stresses that "while the FUN in Minecraft Earth never ends, the real world works differently..." as a closed sign appears and the nitwit backs away anxiously. The nitwit is next taught to "Avoid Heights", as the nitwit nearly runs into a cactus and sidesteps it, nearly falling off a cliff. The narrator begrudgingly adds that "elytra wings" don't exist. Next the narrator stresses to "Be Careful at Night", as the nitwit wanders in a darkened void and steps on an oak sapling, before being targeted by phantoms.
The next section is a change of pace, introducing parental controls. The narrator refers to parents themselves, as the nitwit watches over two children, presumably their own, as they recommend setting up child accounts. The logo from the beginning reappears, reminding viewers that the game is "a lot of fun", and shows several of the nitwit's adventures in a grid to demonstrate that many things can go wrong.
Playing Minecraft Earth in the real world is fun and easy. Just keep these handy suggestions in mind to also play safely! No Nitwits were harmed in the making of this video.
Keep these handy suggestions in mind to play safely.
Minecraft Earth can be endlessly fascinating.
But don't forget to look around and pay attention to your real world surroundings at all times.
If you are thinking of driving and playing at the same time β don't.
It may break the law, not to mention some bones.
Seriously, donβt do it.
Roads are full of things that move very fast, so being careful is absolutely essential.
Avoid playing in, or near, roadways.
Water can be pretty, but itβs also pretty dangerous if you fall in.
Don't play close to water.
No one likes uninvited guests, so don't be one.
Donβt trespass while playing.
And while the fun in Minecraft Earth never ends, the real world works differently.
Always observe park and public area closing hours.
Everyone loves a view, but no one likes to fall.
Sadly, Elytra wings are not available in the current version of reality.
Since they are not, please stay away from potentially hazardous areas.
Itβs harder to see at night, which can lead to dangerous situations.
If you do play after dark, use extra care and look out for hazards.
Hey parents!
