Marmots are passive mobs that can be found in the Overworld within Minecraft Legends.

Marmots spawn in the biomes of the Overworld.

Marmots are passive mobs. Like all other animal mobs, marmots can be petted by interacting with them. When petted they will do a happy animation and heart particles fly out from them.

Issues for Minecraft Legends relating to "Marmot" are no longer maintained on the bug tracker since January 10, 2024.

• Marmots in real life are a genus of large ground squirrels known as Marmota, who are native to cool climates. The family also includes groundhogs.
  • This also makes this mob one of the few realistic ones.
