A brute is a piglin within the Horde of the Bastion of Minecraft Legends.

Brutes are medium piglins with white eyes that turn red at night and cinnamon-clay-colored skin that is covered in sores. They wear a helmet presumably made from netherite or blackstone and are clothed with deep-earth-brown-colored skirts with a gold belt and gold linings on top. They carry a bladed weapon on both hands.

Brutes can spawn in Horde of the Bastion piglin bases. They can also be spawned by piglin pits and during village raids and spawn randomly in every biome, with the exception of the Fatelands.

Brutes, on death, drop:

• 1-3 Lapis
• 1 Piglin Key

Brutes are hostile to all non-piglin mobs and will attempt to attack them. If they have spawned within a piglin outpost or base, they will wander aimlessly in that area but will never leave it. If they have spawned at night in a non-Nether area in the Overworld they will wander aimlessly. They can be found in groups of two to five in the jagged peaks, usually with a spore medic.

• Bladed Attack

Brutes have three attack types, a 360°, 180°, and 90° attack where they spin their bladed weapon at an enemy.

Brutes can be dealt more or less damage depending on the type of damage inflicted.

• Brutes were originally called bruisers.
• Brutes used to only have one blade in the development stage, holding it with two hands.
• Their blade used to be flat, not jagged.
