The First of Brick is one of the four Firsts in Minecraft Legends. It can summon large shields.

The First of Brick was built by Knowledge using gold, bricks and emeralds. According to the hosts, they protected them from the elements in the early days of the Overworld. Eventually, they remained within a stone spire on a dry savanna biome until they were awakened to join the fight against the piglins. Their face is a beautifully carved object known as the Emerald Core, which fell off while they stood on the stone spire.

The First of Brick can be found disassembled randomly in dry savanna biomes. If the wake the firsts improvement has been placed at an improvement hub, the First of Brick can be reassembled by spending 100 gold and 125 iron.

Once the First of Brick has been awoken, it will act as a regular unit. Only one can ever been spawned at a time. If the First of Brick is defeated or de-spawns through other means it will respawn when the player fast travels to a village or the Well of Fate.

The First of Brick can be spawned by interacting with a First of Brick spawner and spending resources. More than one can be spawned at one time, however each First of Brick will take up eight flames of creation.

The First of Brick can spawn a green, hexagon-shaped shield that protect mobs inside from projectiles shot by enemies. It can also do a large slam attack if it gets close to enemies. However, this attack is done rarely.

The First of Brick has two attacks: summoning a shield and a melee attack. Summoning a shield is considered an attack despite not dealing damage.

The First of Brick can be dealt more or less damage depending on the type of damage inflicted.
