There is a Lua Error with the spawn table, and I donβt know how to fix it. I know that this page is brand new, but this should be fixed soon. 172.56.94.94 16:54, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- Spawn tables haven't been updated with info about the Parched yet, this will be fixed when someone more knowledgeable than I about these things adds the data. π align=top

- This data needs to be added at Desert (and other biomes where the Parched can spawn). I don't know what the correct data to put there is, though. | violine1101 (talk) 16:56, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- Parched only spawn in deserts, with a spawn weight of 50 (replacing 50 of the spawn weight previously held by regular skeletons). I tried implementing this but the spawn table does not like having two rows for the same entity with different notes. π align=top

- Ahhhhh⦠Interesting 172.56.94.94 17:06, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- I removed the error by hiding it because it's time to make it first, and it wasn't done yet, so i temporarily hid it until the table was made. MinecraftFan26 (talk) 17:29, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
How come has nobody made a Parched render yet? I know it has only been two and a half hours since it released, but we have the texture, it should just use the Bogged model, and we have all the Camel Husk renders. 172.56.94.94 17:38, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- We just have to wait for the render to be done. Please wait. MinecraftFan26 (talk) 17:45, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know how to render it, but I have code that can be imported in BlockBench here. -- Nomis12 (Talk) 17:47, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- I can render it without the bow for the time being, should I? CrockCraftMC (talk) 18:45, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think a render would be nice, even if it is only temporary. Thank you in advance! -- Nomis12 (Talk) 18:46, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
Just began messing around with the parched, and i immediately noticed that it makes zero sounds, not even the death sound. Even subtitles can't detect any parched sound. I've tried removing all resource packs to check if that's the cause, and yet still no sound. Is it just me, or is anybody else encountering it? Inukedblackmesa (talk) 14:39, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- Their sounds work perfectly fine for me, I'm unsure what could be causing it for you. - Harri / Talk π Image

- Do you have tick rate unfreezed? π Image
NmF (talk) 19:42, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- The tick rate was unfreezed, it was wandering around normally Inukedblackmesa (talk) 10:56, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- I hope they fix that! 64.31.36.86 17:30, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
Regarding "directly under the sky" spawning condition for java edition
[edit source]
This seems to be the phrase consistently used for parched, husk, and stray.
The actual condition in the code is that the skylight at the spawning position must be >= 15.
This means that they can spawn when there are no blocks that impede skylight directly above.
However, I don't know a complete list of these blocks and their states (for example, upward/downward pistons will impede skylight while side-way extended pistons won't).
The same condition is phrased as "all blocks above the bobber must be transparent to sunlight[sic?]" for fishing's exposure to skylight which I think is a more accurate description?

Consistency issue regarding requirement to be killed by a player (or tamed wolf) to drop equipment
[edit source]Latest comment: 25 February1 comment1 person in discussion
In the 'drops' section, it says:
Any naturally spawned equipment, including the bow, has an 8.5% chance of dropping (9.5% with Looting I, 10.5% with Looting II and 11.5% with Looting III). It is damaged and may be enchanted.
It specifies above that to get an arrow of weakness it must be killed by the player (though no mention of tamed wolf), but isn't this the case for equipment too?
The Stray page also doesn't specify that it must be killed by a player to drop equipment, but the Skeleton page does. The Bogged page does, but only for an enchanted bow, not a regular one or other naturally spawned equipment. The Flightless Aviator (talk) 05:28, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
