Minecoins are the digital in-game currency used to make purchases in the Marketplace and Character Creator platforms. It is also shared with the Marketplace in Minecraft Legends.

๐Ÿ‘ Image
Minecoins are depicted as a yellow coin with an M in the middle which most of all Bedrock platforms uses. Meanwhile, ๐Ÿ‘ Image
Tokens are light, matte blue and have a large T in the middle that only PlayStation consoles use.

Obtaining

[edit | edit source]

Minecoins are acquired via in-app purchases using the player's local currency, physical or digital redemption cards purchased from retailers, the Microsoft Rewards program, or directly from Minecraft.net, while Tokens are acquired via in-app purchases using the player's local currency and physical or digital redemption cards purchased from retailers. However, Minecoins cannot be converted into Tokens and vice-versa.[1]

It can also be bought inside the Minecraft Legends Marketplace and the in-game currency syncs in Bedrock Edition as well.

As of Launcher 3.18.26, Minecoins can now be purchased directly from the Minecraft Launcher.

In-app pricing

[edit | edit source]
Any applicable tax and/or fees by country and area are not included in the above prices.

Pricing is the same for ๐Ÿ‘ Image
Tokens on PlayStation.

Redemption reward

[edit | edit source]

In the Microsoft Rewards program, 2500 Rewards points or 2,000 points (for level two members) can be redeemed for a ๐Ÿ‘ Image
330 Minecoins code.

Usage

[edit | edit source]

Minecoins are used to purchase content from the Marketplace, such as worlds, skin packs, add-ons, texture packs, mash-up packs, as well as character parts and emotes inside the Character Creator.

Minecoins can be also used in Minecraft Legends to buy skins and textures, Lost Legends, and Myths.

Cross-buy currency

[edit | edit source]

Since Bedrock Edition and Minecraft Legends uses the same currency and shared similar infrastructure (using the Bedrock Edition Marketplace), they can be used in both games. This means one can get Minecoins from the former and spend it on the latter (and vice-versa), as long as they use the same Microsoft account for both games. However, the contents from one game does not carry to the other.
