The old farmer man is a resident of Redstonia and the creator of the TNT cannon. He is voiced by Matthew Mercer.
Like most others in Redstonia, the old farmer man sought out to become Ellegard's protégé by inventing a TNT cannon, though ultimately would not receive the title.
He has a hard time hearing, likely due to his constant work with explosions.
The old farmer man determinantly appears in Assembly Required if Jesse decides to seek out Ellegaard.
If Jesse chooses to interact with him, he will grant redstone dust, one of the ingredients required to craft a redstone repeater in the episode.
Jesse is given the option to activate the TNT cannon, though it ultimately fails to deliver the TNT anywhere. If this happens, the old farmer man does not seem to understand what has occurred and instead yells at Olivia, seeming to believe she exclaimed a profanity.
He attended the establishment of the New Order of the Stone and Beacontown at the end of A Block and a Hard Place.
