Dan The Diamond Minecart, also referred to as DanTDM and Dan, is a fictionalized version of himself who appeared as one of the celebrities invited by the White Pumpkin in A Portal to Mystery.
Dan has black eyes and is depicted initially with brown hair, the color of his hair changes between scenes. He wears a pair of goggles on his forehead and has a black coat over a blue shirt. Tied in with golden knee and elbow pads, he matches his brown belt with a gold buckle.
Dan is portrayed to be a helpful, truthful yet nervous person, similar to Stampy Cat. He can also be assumed to be a good adventurer as he found the other enchanted flint and steel.
Dan is not seen directly interacting with Sparklez much, but he listens intently to him during their group's first discussion with Jesse's gang. He accidentally sets off the trap that kills him, and feels genuine guilt and sadness from that act.
Like Sparklez, Dan is not seen interacting directly with TorqueDawg, but he recognizes his notoriety with their group, and initially doesn't believe that he's been killed, certainly not by accident as the group initially thinks. While nothing personal is mentioned between them, Dan mentions in his first questioning that TorqueDawg wasn't the nicest person.
At first, Dan seems amicable with Lizzie, calling her over specifically before the group's first interrogation. Later on, however, it is revealed they were fighting each other for years to find their world's enchanted flint and steel, with Dan eventually finding it, only to lose it. He suspects it's Lizzie who has taken it and even goes as far as thinking she is the White Pumpkin. In the path of the episode where Lizzie is killed and Dan survives, revealing she isn't responsible after all, he is still shocked and saddened at her death.
Out of all of the other people in the Spooky Mansion, Dan seems to get along the most with Stampy overall, sitting with him on the couch and encouraging him to tell Jesse about his whereabouts during the library confrontation, but shows anger when he discovers Stampy was the one who took his flint and steel. Still, he's happy enough with the suggestion to share it and form their own Order of the Stone with him.
Dan is only seen directly interacting with Stacy once when they first walk into the hall with the paintings, but is also happy with the idea to form an Order of the Stone with her.
Like the other people in the Spooky Mansion, Dan is suspicious and distrusting of the four at several points, but less so than the others. If he survives the library attack, he will stop Cassie, Stampy and Stacy from throwing Lukas outside, not feeling right about it despite his continued suspicion. Dialogue choices include thanking him or implying he is the only one being reasonable.
When Jesse and Petra find the entrance to the White Pumpkin's underground tunnels, he is the only one to not make sarcastic comments or have an angry expression towards them, instead staying quiet and having a neutral-surprised expression.
If he survives to the end of the episode, Dan parts with Jesse's gang on good terms and tells them to travel safe.
It is implied Dan had a positive relationship with Cassie before she revealed herself to be the White Pumpkin. Before this reveal, he doubts Jesse's accusation and is the one to ask for more evidence. After convinced, he is horrified of her betrayal of them all, and laments that they used to share cookies together. When Cassie falls into one of her own traps, Dan still tries to dig her out with Stampy, and says nobody deserves that kind of fate. In his final scene, he even reluctantly says he feels sorry that she didn't survive, believing her to have died in the sand trap.
These items were at some point in Dan The Diamond Minecart's inventory, whether permanently or temporarily.
