Minecraft LIVE – May 2026 was a Minecraft LIVE event that occurred at TwitchCon Rotterdam 2026 on .[2][3] It was described as a "bonus" and "special" event that contained information about the third game drop of 2026.[4]
A recap of the features included in Chaos Cubed was shown, and the drop's release date was announced to be June 16, 2026.
Additional details for Minecraft Dungeons II were announced, including the Twisted Warden.
The title for the film was officially revealed to be A Minecraft Movie Squared. It was also confirmed that Jack Black, Jason Momoa and Danielle Brooks would be returning as Steve, Garrett and Dawn respectively.
Kirsten Dunst was announced to be playing Alex, and Matt Berry was confirmed to be playing an unknown character.
The third game drop of 2026 was announced, featuring the dappled forest biome containing poplar trees, the abandoned camp structure, as well as wool stairs and wool slabs.
The Twitch VOD recordings for the pre-show and show livestream are split into three parts given a broadcasting issue that made the recording non-continuous.
| Part | Length | Url | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 02:39:28 | https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2784380510 | Start of the pre-show until an odd stream glitch towards the end of video where an odd speed up in the livestream occurs. |
| 2 | 00:01:28 | https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2784443879 | In the middle of the pre-show for over a minute where the livestream oddly cuts off. |
| 3 | 03:54:41 | https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2784444782 | Rest of the pre-show with the community art showcase at 03:19:58 and the main show starting at 03:25:12. |
Before the community artwork pre-show and after the intermission screen, the Mojang Studios screen remained frozen for approximately 30 seconds.
After the reveal of A Minecraft Movie Squared, the livestream feed on YouTube unexpectedly crashed. However, the livestream feed on Twitch and the vertical version on YouTube remained operational. The livestream was later cut and re-uploaded on YouTube.
The live event took place in the Twitch Rivals Arena at the Rotterdam Ahoy convention centre in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was rebroadcast both on the Cherry Grove Stage in the Minecraft Arena and in the NomNom Theatre on Floor 2 for attendees who were unable to secure a seat in the Twitch Rivals Arena or for those arriving late.[5]
The Midoffs: Live - a special edition of The Midoffs, hosted by Tobias James Smith (Tubbo) on , was the pre-show for this edition of Minecraft Live. It was hosted on the Cherry Grove Stage and lasted approximately 6 hours. The last part of the pre-show showcased community artwork.
There are two capes announced that can be obtained from the event, the Crafter Cape and the Builder Cape.
