Zombie-sized chickens are an unusual variant of chickens that are as large as zombies. They behave similarly to regular chickens. They inhabit a dimension where they appear to be the sole known inhabitants.
In spite of their size, they do not appear to act much differently from regular chickens. They aimlessly wander, peck at the ground, jump at random, run in circles, and they share the ability to fly shortly.
While practicing sword fighting in a treehouse, Olivia asked Jesse whether they would rather fight chicken-sized zombies or zombie-sized chickens. The same question was later posed to Lukas.
If Jesse chose the zombie-sized chickens or did not give a clear answer, Hadrian and Mevia were banished to a dimension filled with the chosen mob at the end of A Journey's End?.
Hadrian: Well, in a very unfortunate and unexpected twist... it appears we are in the land of chickens that are indeed the size of zombies.
Mevia: That's right, Hadrian. And it looks like we're just gonna have to wing it! Wings... chicken wings... you know?
Hadrian: You're fired, Mevia. You're fired.
