Romeo, more commonly known as The Admin, is the main antagonist of Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two. He was once good friends with Xara and Fred, though a conflict between them would drive him to kill Fred, imprison Xara, and create the second world inhabited by the Order of the Stone. He is primarily voiced by JB Blanc.
Romeo had the ability to take on different forms. The following titles are in order of first appearance.
In Hero in Residence and Giant Consequences Romeo directly controlled one of the prismarine colossi.
His golem in a box form appears to be a snow golem except he wears a top hat instead of a carved pumpkin and his bottom part resembles ice instead of snow. He also wears a blue coat with a light blue bow tie.
In Above and Beyond, his admin golem in a box form is similar to the normal golem in a box form, with the exception of all that was blue is colored red or black. His Snow Skin is Darker, and his arms are darker icy golem arms instead of sticks.
In this form he can create blue fireballs in a myriad of attacks.
Romeo's admin form has red hair, black and glowing red clothing, gray skin, and glowing eyes with yellow pupils and red sclera.
Romeo also has admin forms of other characters similar to his human disguises. Each resembles their respective character appearance, but with gray skin, black and glowing red "champion" clothing, and glowing eyes.
After being defeated by Jesse and their team, Romeo lost his powers and enters his human form, with normal red hair and a beard, wearing a grey T-shirt and navy-blue pants. This form is the last he is shown to take, and potentially his final if left behind.
Romeo is somewhat mentally unstable, as noted by Jesse in Giant Consequences; and is very capricious and erratic, as seen when he threatens to burn the Sunshine Institute to the ground simply because Jesse does not obey when he tries to pit them against Petra/Jack. He is also childish at times, such as when he taunts Jesse as they're going to attack him (in the prismarine colossus form) and how he thinks that he can make friends through force and deceit.
Romeo believes that those with power (or the strong, as he believes Jesse and himself to be) should rule over everything, while the weak (such as Radar and Jack, in his opinion) should be trampled underfoot.
Romeo was often in search of a champion, or a friend. When he chose Jesse, he posts many challenges for them, such as the Sea Temple, and the icy palace of despair. However, he's willing to support those who, while not skilled, share his views, such as Stella. He believed that he should only make friends with the "strong" and that his "friends" should absolutely agree with his opinions, as seen when he tries to force Jesse to believe in his logic of the strong and the weak and when he wants Petra/Jack to prove her/his loyalty to him by attacking Jesse.
Although Romeo usually appears to be near-heartless, it is revealed in Below the Bedrock that he only wanted to keep the admins together. He felt guilty for murdering Fred, meaning that he had good intentions for his later acts. This is further shown in Above and Beyond, where Romeo showed grief after Xara's death (determinant) and looked guilty for a moment at seeing Fred's hologram. He also showed a lot of misery at seeing the cabin that he and the other admins used to live in.
Eventually, after he loses his powers, Romeo realizes the errors of his ways. He offers to stay behind and determinantly sacrifices himself to save Jesse, Petra, and Jack. He can also be willing to return to the underneath and "fix all the lives he ruined" to make up for his crimesβ[determinant].
Romeo was once good friends with his admin companions, Xara and Fred. Together, they were supposedly responsible for creating the now-ruined first world and would go on to build their respective settlements; Romeoburg, Fred's Keep, and the Oasis.
Romeo will die if Radar stays with Jesse in the previous episode and if Jesse chooses to bring Romeo with them after his powers are taken. When a prismarine colossus appears leaving Jesse's gang trapped; Romeo runs to distract the colossus as Radar does not have the giant enderman chasing him which would have fought the colossus instead. This gives Jesse's group enough time to go through the portal. But before they go through, Romeo is seen being crushed by the colossus.
Another way for Romeo to die is if Jesse brings Binta up from the surface in Below the Bedrock and leaves Romeo behind in Terminal Space as it crumbles.
Stella worked as one of Romeo's associates for a while, before becoming a much closer assistant to him after leaving the Sunshine Institute. However, Romeo did not appear to truly care for her feelings, evident by his destruction of Champion City and his increasingly threatening actions towards her.
Romeo was once Xara's friend, but after she and Fred refused to join him he killed Fred. This broke off his relationship with Xara, and he decided to imprison her in the Sunshine Institute. Their thoughts for each other became very bitter, with Romeo preferring to think of her as a bad friend. This can lead to Romeo determinantly killing Xara. However, he can express a will to fix their relationship later otherwise, meaning that he did care about her in the end.
Romeo was Fred's friend in the first world, but after he refused to join him, Romeo killed him. Romeo later added birch trees to the cabin after it was bedrocked over, hinting that he wanted to honor his memory.
At first, Romeo wanted to be Jesse's friend. But when his attempts to befriend them through intense challenges and manipulation fail, he became enraged at Jesse and declared he did not want to be Jesse's friend anymore. He later views them as a potential threat to his impersonation plan, evident by him sending a ninja after Jesse and reacting with anger at finding them in his tower.
During his time transformed into Jesse, Romeo showed that he did not care or did not show it for Axel and Olivia's own lives as he forced them to stay in Beacontown. He did care about them being his "friends", evident from his pleasure at being called a friend that was great to be with.
Romeo does not have a lot of faith on Jack and Radar. Romeo calls Jack a "nitwit" after Jack being clueless in the icy spider room and for not discovering earlier that Romeo was disguised as Vos by saying "Haven't you figured it out yet, you dolt?". Whereas, Romeo perceives Radar as weak, not being able to save himself, needing Jesse to pull him up to safety in the shooting gallery room.
There is a key difference between a good friend and a bad one. Good friends do what you ask. They enjoy what you make for them. They never betray you.
Jesse is a perfect example of what we call a βbad friend.β Other βbad friendsβ include, in no particular order: Fred, And Xara. Ultimately all losers who refused to appreciate the gifts theyβd been given. I wonβt stand for ingratitude. So I took my gifts away.
Oh, but then, then, just when I thought Iβd found a promising new friend β such a disappointment. That is when I had a brilliant idea. The perfect way to weed out the bad friends from the good. To be appreciated. I became Jesse.
I was right, of course. The plan worked immediately. Jesseβs good friends flocked to me, the better Jesse. And now Jesse is trapped underground forever. One more ungrateful loser buried away.
The saddest part of all, really, is that Jesse will never get to see how much better Iβve made Beacontown. Oh, yes.
