Use Apple Cash and Apple Card with Family Sharing on iPad

You can use Apple Cash and Apple Card with your Family Sharing group. The organizer of the Family Sharing group can set up Apple Cash for a child, and share Apple Card with trusted members of their Family Sharing group.

Set up Apple Cash Family for a child

The family organizer can set up Apple Cash for a child.

Note: Apple Cash Family is only available in the U.S.

  1. Go to the Settings app 👁 Image
     on your iPad.

  2. Tap Family, then select the child for whom you want to set up Apple Cash.

  3. Tap Apple Cash, tap Set Up Apple Cash, then follow the onscreen instructions.

To see the card balance, monitor transactions, and narrow the list of people that the child can send money to, go to Settings 👁 Image
> Wallet & Apple Pay. See See transactions, set up recurring payments, transfer funds, and contact support.

Set up Apple Card Family

You can share your Apple Card with family members, manage payments, and control account settings and limits for children who are 13 years or older. You can also review and manage everyone’s details.

Note: Apple Card Family is only available in the U.S.

  1. Go to the Settings app 👁 Image
     on your iPad.

  2. Tap Family, then tap Apple Card Family.

    The option only appears if you have Apple Card.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
