Ultra Wideband information

Ultra Wideband is available on all iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 16 (except iPhone 16e), and iPhone 17 (except iPhone 17e) models, and iPhone Air. The availability of Ultra Wideband varies by country or region.

Ultra Wideband must be turned off when onboard aircraft, ships, and in prohibited countries or regions by turning on Airplane mode. To turn on airplane mode, open Control Center, then tap 👁 the Airplane Mode Switch button

You can also turn airplane mode on or off in the Settings app 👁 Image
on iPhone. When airplane mode is on, 👁 the Airplane Mode icon
 appears in the status bar. Ultra Wideband may not be used for operation of toys.

Australia: Ultra Wideband transmitters must not be operated within a nominated distance from specified Australian radio-astronomy sites. For further information about nominated distance, please refer to the Radiocommunications (Low Interference Potential Devices) Class License 2015 published by the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
