Temple Tunnels is an optional sub dungeon within the mission Overgrown Temple.

Appearance and description

[edit | edit source]

Temple Tunnels is located in a sidepath within the open section found after the first locked gateway in Overgrown Temple. Its initial room features glowing green mushrooms, vines, water, and lush foliage. It leads into a massive room filled with winding, elevated walkways suspended over giant pools of lava. An optional ambush can be triggered by interacting with the royal guard skeleton on the left at the start of the room. Several spring platforms can be used to reach the end of the lava-filled room, where two villager statues can be found. Past these statues, a set of staircases can be traversed to reach an area with a split path. To the north-east, an optional ambush can be found in a small room with cracks in the center. To the south-east, a blue ambush crystal can be found at the edge of the stone brick pathway, which if interacted with will start an optional ambush to the north-west. The final room of Temple Tunnels appears very similar to the first room, but features lava and a villager statue rather than water and lush foliage.
