A baby zombie is a hostile zombie variant that can be found within the various missions of Minecraft Dungeons.

Appearance

Baby zombies resemble normal zombies but are smaller and more agile. They can spawn riding a chicken. This variant is known as the chicken jockey. They can also ride on each other and become a mob with six small zombies riding on a chicken, a chicken jockey tower.

Missions

Baby zombies sometimes spawn when night falls, regardless of the mission, when at least one hero is defeated within multiplayer.

Walk

Baby zombies are faster, have higher health and hit more often than the normal zombie but deal less damage per hit. After hitting, they retreat.

Basic attack

Baby zombies attack the hero if seen and deal a small amount of damage. Baby zombies can knockback heroes when attacking.

Novelty

Baby zombies have a "Novelty" animation that sometimes occurs when they are idling, similar to zombies.
