A baby ghast is a cosmetic pet mob that can be obtained by purchasing Flames of the Nether. It is a baby passive variant of ghasts.

Contents

  • In a twitter video, the baby ghast follows the hero Skelly into an undiscovered cave with an inviting purple glow beneath the Camp.[1]
  • In a twitter video depicting Coral Rise, the baby ghast explores the sea while floating in a bubble.[2]
  • Sometime after the events of the game, the baby ghast shoots its first fireball accidentally at the Village Merchant in the Camp.[3]
  • In a Twitter post, the baby ghast was given the title of "Dungeons' Most Popular Pet" and appeared in a video version of The Illager's New Robes.[4]

Behavior

As a cosmetic pet, they:

  • Follow the player
  • Teleport to the player when they are too far away
  • Do not attack mobs
  • Are not targeted by mobs
  • Can activate pressure plates, such as those in the Desert Temple
  • Can fall off the map, which functionally kills it and gives it a chance to drop consumables or gear like other mobs, but it respawns immediately after
