1.6.2^[1] is a minor update to Java Edition that was fully released on July 8, 2013,^[2][3] which made baby zombies spawn naturally and mainly fixed bugs present in 1.6.1. While it was not the last update to 1.6, it was the last one before the snapshots of 1.7.2 started.

A pre-release version of 1.6.2 was released on July 5, 2013.^[2] The server version of 1.6.2 is identical to the last reupload of the pre-release server version. The full release client is different from the pre-release client. The 1.6.2 release client was re-uploaded on July 9, 2013, to fix issues with the default italics font.
