Gold Room[1] is an optional sub dungeon within the mission Ancient Hunt. It is accessed by entering hunt doors that do not lead to ancient dungeons.

Appearance and description

Gold Room is located within hunt doors found in sub-missions, and has the appearance of a bastion remnant. Gold Room always generates in different sizes in a rectangular layout. It consists of multiple bridges and hallways made of blackstone and gold blocks. In the south-east corner of Gold Room, one to three piglin chests can be found, which reward the hero with gold. Zero to two ambushes can be found in the northern part of Gold Room, with a rare chance of the north-western ambush spawning a ghast at the end of its waves. Upon completion of said ambushes, gates that prevented access to a varying number of piglin chests, wooden chests, fancy chests, and obsidian chests will be lowered. A secret fancy chest can occasionally spawn in the north-east corner of Gold Room. The north-west area of Gold Room also contains a supplies chest, and a button that extends a bridge, providing a shortcut back to the entrance door. No more than ten piglin chests can appear in Gold Room at any given time.

1.8.6.0Changed the generation of Gold Room. It previously consisted of a single long narrow corridor, stretching in a south-eastern direction containing only mobs and two to three gold chests.
Changed the background music and sound effects that play in Gold Room. It previously reused the background music that plays in Steppe.
Fixed the drawbridge in Gold Room opening improperly for both host and clients.
1.17.0.0Increased the gold yield from small piglin chests (minimum increased from 2 to 4, maximum increased from 5 to 6).
