This page covers a development version that has a major issue under certain conditions.

The dedicated server for this version has a security vulnerability in the Log4j library that could be used to perform a remote code execution exploit. It can be addressed by appending a certain JVM argument to the server startup command line.[1]

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • The splash "This parrot is no more! It has ceased to be!" is a reference to Monty Python's Flying Circus "Dead Parrot Sketch".

  • The splash "Music by Lena Raine!" is a reference to the new music tracks added in 1.16, made by Lena Raine.
  • The splash "Aww man!" is a reference to the "Creeper, aww man" meme, originating from CaptainSparklez' Minecraft parody song, Revenge.[3]
  • The splash "#minecraftfarms" is a hashtag Felix Jones wanted to get trending.[4]
