Polished andesite is the polished version of andesite.

Obtaining

[edit | edit source]

Breaking

[edit | edit source]

Polished andesite can be mined using any pickaxe. If mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing.

  1. ↑ These durations ignore any other influential factors (e.g., Mining Fatigue) and are measured in seconds. For more information, see Breaking Β§ Speed.

Natural generation

[edit | edit source]

One block of polished andesite can be found in igloo basements. Polished andesite can also be found in the "nature", "forge", and "large jail" rooms of woodland mansions and also in trial chambers surrounding the supply chests with chiseled tuff bricks.

Usage

[edit | edit source]

Polished andesite is currently used only for decoration. It has the same blast resistance as stone, meaning it can be used as a substitute for stone when building.

Java Edition

[edit | edit source]
Java Edition
1.814w02aThe newly-implemented granite, andesite and diorite, as well as the polished versions for each, use stone's ID and are distinguished using metadata.
14w06aStone now uses the newly-implemented model json file models/block/cube.json; previously the geometry was defined in the game code itself.
14w10aStone with numerical metadata variants 7 through 15, which are inaccessible through normal gameplay, now have no model πŸ‘ Image
rather than appearing identical to stone.
14w25aStone and its variants are now defined via block states rather than by numerical metadata. Prior to this version, the numerical metadata variants of stone were as follows:
